Weapon question on 07/08/2013 02:10 PM CDT

I have the opportunity to buy either a 7x scimitar or a 6x longsword. For an ambushing rogue, what would be best?

The longsword, it does have a lower enchant but the AvD more then makes up for it along with higher DFs for the same roundtime.

Longsword. The 'only' time I've ever found scimitars to be nice is with TWC (they're pretty accurate and your RT stays down, especially with MStrikes), but then everyone starts asking you if they're called Twinkle and Icingdeath.

Heh the only time I've ever used and wanted to use a scimitar was when my ambushing rogue was level 5 and I was able to buy him one of those orcish cutlasses that were hcw. I think this one was even named legbiter or something so therefore I had guaranteed leg removing ambushes on all the orcs in trollfang. Pretty sure I sold it once I moved onto the glacier where there weren't anymore orcs.

Cool, that is what I was thinking. I just didn't want to spend all that silver on something I would regret. Thanks for the input!
