I would like to have better effect than i do now with my offense, using my edged weapons.
It's around 106 without me being spelled up right now, which seems terrible.
I hate trying to use spells on the critters when fighting (like bone shatter), 'cause it's hard for me to memorize the numbers.
Way easier for me to just use my weapon.
The spells i do have so far have always been effective when i use them though.
Empath, minor and major.
I would also like to have a higher mana #.
That's at a 51 highest right now.
I think my defense is okay for my level - runs between 143 to 193, depending if i am spelled up well or not.
What areas do i need to train next time?

>>I hate trying to use spells on the critters when fighting (like bone shatter), 'cause it's hard for me to memorize the numbers.<<
I suspect that you are unfamiliar with how to create macros. Macros are your friend; they obviate the need to memorize spell numbers. Hit a button and have it set to "incant 1106", for example. Lets say we start off using key F1. The macro might read "stance offen\rincant 1106" (and no, there is no space between\r and incant, in this particular instance). This is assuming you want to go offensive stance, for channeling, which at level 14 you may not, since your DS won't be optimal; in which case just omit the stance change. Using wands? Set a macro to "stance offen\r wave left\r" if you are a runestaff user.
At 14 trains, you will not have enough mana to do a real hunt with spells alone, so many folks use weapons during this period of their existence, even if they plan to be a pure caster later on. At this level, the critters will usually be suckers for stance dancing. Stay in defensive until it strikes at you, then use a macro "stance offen\r attack\r". Have another one set for "stance defen\r" for when the weapon RT wears off.
You may want to write down which key does what action on a piece of paper and keep it in front of you as a reference guide.

I think a lot of your AS problems may be solved next level when you pick up Heroism (215). That will add a flat 25 AS to your swing.
There's other stuff we can work on to make you a better melee user though.
Spell aiming: You're singled in it and I doubt you've got the mana to use either 1110 or 111 even if you were doubled. I recommend dropping this entirely.
MOC: 3 ranks isn't doing anything for you. Push this up to 5 ranks and you can mstrike 2 critters at once. Leave it at 5 for now, long term you can think about more.
Harness Power: Keep this at level (14). The extra ranks are expensive and don't provide much.
MMC & SMC: These are good in groups of 10 so consolidate them. Pick either 10 SMC or 10 MMC. SMC is better if you want to share with people, MMC buffs bone shatter.
Transformation/Perception/First aid/Trading: These are all surplus skills that you don't really need. I'd recommend dropping TransLore, Trading and cutting Perception in half. I like First aid.
Spells: Double Major next level to get 215. After that start singling Empath till 1130 and pick up more minor ranks.
Hopefully we'll have freed up some points. Take those points and sink them heavily into Combat Manuevers.
As an aside: Make sure you're not hunting with 102 up and use your society powers!

Re: Training Question on 10/18/2011 04:16 PM CDT
I do the stance/dance very well, probly the fastest thing i can do on a keyboard; the time it take me to think of special short keys or macros to hit is longer than the time it takes me to type out the attack or kill - or prep or cast command. (unless my keys stick, and then i gotta backspace and re-type and try to make corrections fast - easier to run away).
I will fill out some memo cards to keep handy tho'.
Was just thinking that my mana and offense were each too low for being at level 14, and I don't know which things to train in that will raise them to whatever their max could be at level 15. Shouldn't Offense Strength be like 10 times my level? Rather than a piddley 106 without added spell?

Can take care of everything well up to any major scars, those i can't heal yet.
RE: "As an aside: Make sure you're not hunting with 102 up and use your society powers!" I don't know what that means.
I have been using 102 when hunting. 101, 102, 103, 202, 211 and anything else someone else might happen to spell me up with.
I appreciate the help - thankyou all.

Re: Training Question on 10/18/2011 04:45 PM CDT
102 is only for spell casters. Its an air wall that while it helps your defense, it also hinders your abilty to "swing through it" and it muffles your AS as well.
Spells zip right through an air wall for the most part. If you swing a weapon, do not use 102, and don't cast it on anyone without asking if they want an air wall. It's a sure-fire dirty look if you stick it on a rogue or warrior as it cannot be STOPped and you must ward the target in order to get it on 'em. heh. You can cast 102 on a melee critter to hinder how hard they swing at you, but if you are swinging back at them, you've also raised their DS. So in short... unless you're a pure, don't air wall (102) yourself.
A black-billed nightingale examines you carefully then says, "With all the vicious creatures we've got threatening the city, I would think that a person with your skills could find plenty to do."

As was mentioned, 102 is only for pure casters. If you're swinging a weapon or shooting a bow you don't want 102.
I noticed that Empathic Focus (1109) was missing from your list. That spell adds both AS and DS. If you haven't been using it, start now!
With the loss of 102 but gaining 1109, your DS won't change much but you'll see a massive boost to AS.
