Those of you who know me well know that about 95% of my brain is dedicated purely to superheroes. I'm pretty sure the other 5% is dedicated to consumption of caffeine. Given that, it's really a miracle that I ever get anything done at all.
But it seems like it's finally paid off.
Today, some of my superhero art is being published in a real comic book for the first time!
Appearing in a gallery spread of the #1 issue of the relaunch of Captain Marvel (featuring Carol Danvers, the Avenger formerly known as Ms. Marvel)...
Here is a photo of the page: http://www.bluetears.com/misc/captainmarvel_gallery.jpg
And here is a full-size view of the art: http://www.bluetears.com/misc/CaptainMarvel_Bust_Final.jpg
... perhaps next Cairnfang art contest, Owly could submit a superhero painting instead of a paint-smeared muffin wrapper...
And on a more serious note, a lot of you have been super supportive of this in recent weeks. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support and excitement. You're all the best people in the world.
Signed,
Raelee and her Strings

This workday seriously needs to end so I can pick up my copy. Argh for not having time at lunch!

You quietly whisper to Tolomyn, "I would like 'an unpretentious albugineous rumchunder dress whorled with chrysochlorous penniform arabesques', please."

You gaze hopefully at Tolomyn.

Tolomyn stares at you.

Your youngest fan eagerly awaits his signed copy. Set up a table at Simucon for a signing session. It will be EPIC! I want photos too.
Speaking softly to Raelee, Kilthal says, "Many things would be different if people listened to ye."
Speaking to Kilthal, Raelee says, "Believe me. I am painfully aware of that."
