Bug? Or "feature"? on 07/21/2012 04:11 PM CDT
So I was hunting in the Skull Temple the other day and this happened:
<<A hunch-backed dogmatist bows her head and places her hands over a muscular supplicant, and though the dogmatist's lips do not move, you hear a single word spoken clearly and forcefully: "Koh!" A pale nimbus encircles the fallen supplicant, then fades into the corpse. The muscular supplicant awakens looking confused and somewhat drained!
The dogmatist sags slightly, drained by the miraculous ordeal.
>loot
Could not find a valid target to loot.
>sigh
You sigh.
>
The blood red haze dissipates from around a hunch-backed dogmatist.>>
So, I had Forget running on the Dogmatist, I killed the Supplicant, Forget was still running, and the Dogmatist raised the dead Supplicant before Forget wore off. Seems to me that the Dogmatist shouldn't be able to raise the Supplicant while Forget's running. So, is it a bug? Or is there some other explanation for the seeming inconsistency?
A.

<Incredibly, I noticed that very thing. I still would like to hear from the powers that be about whether it is intentional. Thanks for pointing it out, though.>
Tomb troll necromancers can resurrect their fellows in a similar fashion and I suspect they're both using a maneuver rather then a spell. If that's the case, forget wouldn't work to prevent it.
Starchitin
A severed gnomish hand crawls in on its fingertips and makes a rude gesture before quickly decaying and rotting into dust. A gust of wind quickly scatters the dust.
