Excerpt from the Mist Harbor clothing document:

'''Similarly, women will also, while in their formal garments, wear belly jewels* (of the non-piercing variety) and decorate their stomachs with henna that complements the jewel of choice.

A note on the belly gem: Mist Harbor Society treats belly gems similarly to the way that the Human Empire treats
009: ! spurs or the way that the Elven Nations treats Crest Gems. The Merchant Council gifts them to specific individuals that have proven themselves and has them enchanted with the special ability that allows them to remain in place.'''

Coming to the summer festival will be the belly gem! I will be raffling off three of these beauties, all three of them based on entries to the Premium contest in January.

They are designed to be work on the skin of your belly, so if you are wearing anything that would cover that area of your body, the gems will be covered. If you remove that clothing, the gem will be revealed. As of right now, the gems do not have ambient messaging, but they do have a few ways to play with them that give different messaging depending on when they're covered or not.

Here's a preview, for those of you who missed the OOC Meeting today!

Holding a wave-shaped blue sea glass in her palm, Jainna discreetly reaches under her top for a moment.

Jainna squirms slightly for a moment before settling down.

Jainna reaches under her top for a moment, and a brief, blue-green flicker appears in the gap made by her wrist.

Jainna looks uncomfortable for a moment before she presses lightly on her belly through her top.

Jainna looks mildly alarmed before quickly reaching under her top for a moment.

Jainna slips out of a white cotton tank top.

Glancing down, Jainna frowns at her blue sea glass before giving it a quick polish, causing it to shed some shimmering, blue-green sparks.

A wave-shaped blue sea glass affixed to Jainna's belly gives a brief, blue-green flicker as she touches it.

Jainna reaches down and lightly presses on her blue sea glass. A look of relief briefly crosses her face.

Jainna gently pinches her blue sea glass, adjusting its position on her skin. It flashes with a soft blue-green sparkle in response.

In addition, it will show up in your features when it's not covered.

LOOK JAINNA

You see GameMaster Jainna.
She appears to be a Vaalor Sprite.
She is gorgeous, duh. She has a wave-shaped blue sea glass affixed to her belly, and swirls of henna on her skin surround it.

You analyze your blue sea glass and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.

The creator has also provided the following information:
This is a belly jewel awarded to folks of note in Mist Harbor and is based off the Mist Harbor clothing document.

This item is pin-worn, but it will be covered by anything worn over the front, under armor, or chest-worn. It will show up in your features. It cannot be worn if you are already wearing something that gives you a temporary unique feature.

If you already have a unique feature, that feature may not show up while wearing the gem, but will be saved for when you take the gem off.

Only a merchant with permission can alter this gem.

This jewel can be altered normally (with a long description or a show), but it should always be based on a Mist Harbor-specific gem. For instance, "a heart-shaped stormcloud diamond." You may also be asked to provide a custom color to match. The color must make sense for the gem.

This gem traps several verbs: RUB, TOUCH, PUSH, PINCH, POKE, WEAR, REMOVE.

You can tell that the glass is as light as it can get.

OMG that's fabulous.

But...any armor will cover it up, right?
