Flecks of smooth black and white onyx decorate the gnarled surface of this ancient witchwood crook, naturally polished from numerous years of use. The curved top end has been carved to resemble the head of a snarling wolf, teeth of ivory and eyes of opaline moonstone adding a touch of realism to its appearance. A sphere of blackened steel caps the bottom end of the crook. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

>knock my crook
You strike the tip of your witchwood crook expectantly against the floor and feel a gentle pulse of energy grow within its onyx-flecked shaft. The energy suddenly flows into the crook's twisted tip and the air around you swirls lazily in response, forming a rippling little whirlwind near your feet that quickly dissipates.

You sense that you are now more familiar with your witchwood crook.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

(More familiar with it? How neat!)

>demeanor
Your demeanor is cold.

>demeanor neutral
You decide to take things as they come.

>knock my crook
You strike the tip of your witchwood crook steadily against the floor and feel a strong pulse of energy grow within its onyx-flecked shaft. The energy suddenly surges into the crook's twisted tip and the air around you churns rapidly in response, forming a wild little vortex near your feet that quickly dissipates.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

(Gee! I wonder what else it can do...)

>tilt my crook
You readjust your hold on the onyx-flecked shaft of your witchwood crook and feel a stream of air flow powerfully along its gnarled length as you tilt it steadily from side to side. The twisted tip of your crook blurs for a moment in the roiling air.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

>pull my crook
With a flick of your wrist, you draw the gnarled length of your witchwood crook parallel to your body. The air around you churns listlessly and a subtle shudder travels from the onyx-flecked shaft of your crook to its twisted tip, and then dissipates rapidly.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

>rub my crook
Your witchwood crook hums gently as you run your thumb over its gnarled length. Suddenly, the air around your fingers begins to swirl ominously and you deftly pull your left hand away before something terrible happens to it. The quiet humming ceases immediately.

You sense that you are now entirely familiar with the witchwood crook.
A scintillating white light suddenly envelops your crook.

(Entirely familiar you say?)

>glance
You glance down to see a scintillating witchwood crook in your right hand and nothing in your left hand.

(Fancy!)

>wave my crook
You brandish your witchwood crook for all to see! Suddenly, your crook hums with power and the air around you roils turbulently! The white light surrounding your crook flickers as tendrils of scintillating energy coil lazily around its gnarled length.

>raise my crook
As you raise your witchwood crook overhead, chaotic ripples of scintillating energy coil outward from its twisted tip and spiral sinuously down its gnarled length! The scintillating white light surrounding your crook suddenly flickers and fades!

>glance
You glance down to see an ancient witchwood crook in your right hand and nothing in your left hand.

(Happy hunting.)
