I found "a polished shark tooth" in a box in the Ronan's Temple area. I think it came from a ragged shadow person box.
Well I have never seen one of these before, although I haven't hunted Solhaven since I outgrew playing with the eidos (and that was loooong ago). So I figured I had something valuable, or at least interesting.
Nope - it's worth 28 silver at the gemshop. The pawnshop won't even touch it.
Are these things common?

It's one of those common gems that's actually rare due to the way the treasure system works. These gems became somewhat less rare because of a change that got made a while back which gave a % chance to include one a very common gem in a box.
