I've got a nice little flaring knuckle-duster but have lockered it. The benefits do not seem to be worth the MM tradeoff.
What are most people doing? Anyone using UCS weapons regularly?
My monk uses a weapon since he doesn't have Feint rank 5 yet, but I've swapped it around to a macro that pulls it out for a feint then sheaths it. Monks lose several nice defensive abilities from 1214 and something else I think when they don't have both hands free. If there weren't a penalty to flare chances for gloves/weapons when used together then it might be worth the tradeoff. Offensively it sort of evens out imo though since you do get benefits from the held weapon(s), but i'd rather be able to parry arrows and such.
if mm isn't getting thru or they have him out numbered i tend to whip out the tigers and mstrike, but he tends to target trolls because of fire flares on his gloves and weapons, or if the grims have a caster waiting for a tier up a pain and gets you dispelled and killed so i tend to force project em and TWC focuced mstrike em with the tigers to take the caster out quick.
