Heh.
Over the last few (6? 8?) months I have seemed to run across a large number of "jet black <nouns>"; this is pretty much Wehntoph/krags & minotaurs, because the Thanatoph/stone trolls & giants & Illoke were ALL about the "<snake | viper | serpent> skin <nouns>".
The first one that I kept was the "jet <black> pack"... so I am now the proud possessor of a jet pack. In GemStone. ("open my jet pack" sort of thing :)
Then when I started seeing a few more, I put the interesting ones into the pack, in case I ever want to build a coordinated look.
