For the five years, it has existed, the bracelet could be unlocked by earning favors at a rate of 1000 per year.
You obtain this favor by completing the various quests on Caligos. If you miss a year, there is no fear because the next year you can make up the favor. This increases the uses per day on the mechanical benefits of the item.
In year two, we added a prod option so that the bracelet could be PRODed to change the worn location. The expansion allowed it to be changed into a necklace, ring, or anklet at the will of the owner.
This item is attuned to the character.
The benefit breakdown is as follows:
Total Favor | POINT (at target) | COVER
- | Adds an intimidate debuff to the target that reduces the targets DS/TD by: | Must follow Ghezresh - Lasts 5 minutes, Sheer Fear Boost will increase user's sheer fear level by:
1000 favor | 5ds/3td, 5x/day | 1, 3x/day
2000 favor | 10ds/6td, 10x/day | 2, 2x/day
3000 favor | 15ds/9td, 15x/day | 3, 3x/day
4000 favor | 20ds/12td, 20x/day | 4, 4x/day
5000 favor | 25ds/15td, 25x/day | 5, 5x/day |
In the third year, there were copious complaints that the messaging on the bracelet didn't fit a lot of people's RP style because it was so intensely eel-based.
That is why in the third year, we decided to update the messaging based on the deities that were involved on Caligos. After all, the bracelet was already so intensely Ghezresh and only provided the sheer fear benefit to his followers.
Last night, I posted each of the messaging and for ease of finding I'll link below.
If you GIVE MY BRACELET/RING/NECKLACE/ANKLET to NPC, then they will ask you to confirm that you want to change the item. Here are the people that can do this and where they are located:
