302 Is Bad Design for What Should be a Roleplaying Choice on 10/18/2018 04:20 PM CDT

I'm sitting here really considering converting my Lorminstra cleric to the Lornon Pantheon just to gain access to Bane. I reckon that if I had Bane and Holy Bolt, I'm pretty much set in regards to hunting.

Being "Good" or a non-bane Cleric really limits your hunting ability at a few levels and I'm especially feeling the hurt since I graduated from Citadel.

Something really needs to be done about 302. The penalties are just ridiculous compared to 702. If the issue is the % chance to instantly kill a target, please get rid of it and just make the spell equally powerful against the living and undead.

As I gaze over the horizon, the wind tugs at my cloak and whispers, "Adventure" in my ear.

Charl has Bane so you can switch within pantheon.

I agree that at your level its ridiculous how much more powerful Bane is due to the disappearance of undead hunting grounds from the lands and absence of any clerical spell suitable for hunting living. Though I'd much rather have something that hit like 705 or 1106 at that level than be able to use Bane. I've got the mana to hunt with something more powerful than 302 at a similar level, though 317 is too heavy.

Ugh... Charl.

He's soooo angry.
