I'm a big fan of merchants using tweets. That being said I am a big fan of platinum getting their own set of tweets as it's not really cool getting tweets for services I won't ever have access to. Please make it so.

Not that it fixes your root problem, but there are third-party software and Chrome extensions that can mute specific hashtags with Twitter so they don't show up in your newsfeed.

For the low, low price of just $49.95 per month, YOU TOO can enjoy all that Platinum has to offer!

At least they have #gsplat added on so no one gets too confused.

Yeah, that sounds like something to be filtered on your end and not Simu's. The only option they'd really have is to create both a GSIV Standard and GSIV Platinum twitter accounts, which would double the workload for general announcing tweets (though that workload is probably small to begin with).

The way it works from our end, is if a GM tweets from Prime, you'll see the GSIV Prime hashtag, and from plat, the Plat hashtag. At this point, I'd say Aulis' answer is the best bandaid.

if you get phone alerts the phone is going off no matter what the hashtag. I don't think any chrome extension can block that

You could turn off notifications when there isn't a Prime event going on; or - turn them off when there's a Plat event in session.

If they're concurrent.....I think you're out of luck.

It sounds like that's your three choices (for your phone):

1) Always on
2) Always off
3) Turned off just for Plat events

Beyond that I don't think anyone (including Simu) can help. The staff seems to advertise prior to events if they will be tweeting, so you could use that as a reminder to turn it back on.
