We will be closing up the Briarmoon Cove grounds sometime after 11:30 pm EST tonight, so please plan your shopping and gaming accordingly.
Warm fuzzies and hearts for all the GMs that worked so hard on this event to follow in the next couple of days.

Totally with you on that, thanks to everyone for working SUPER hard.... I had a blast, even more than I expected to, and I was really looking forward to it as-is.
This was well-worth the attendance to me, by far!

Echoing the positive sentiments. I had a lot of fun this weekend. Y'all worked hard, before and during. Thank you for a delightful experience. :D

While I'm here..!
Fave part of the festival was definitely the quest. Loved the puzzles and lack of creatures trying to kill me. Hope to see more of these in the future.
Lots of merchants and signs were great. A special thanks to those that showed up to work for us early-morning players.
Overall I really enjoyed this weekend. Thanks to everyone that pulled it all together.

AGAIN -- had a fantastic time!!
Also, I really enjoyed the little quest to "unlock" the Forest Armor cabin, as well... it was a lot of fun, and a nice little adventure-style minigame that wasn't too frustrating by forcing you to play "guess the verb", heh. Pretty intuitive, creative, entertaining, and a fun way to kill a half-hour or two!
That Cook, though... lololol.

Re: Briarmoon Cove Closing Time (Feedback!) on 02/07/2016 08:51 PM CST
The Good:
The merchants! Everyone was exceptional to work with. The lines moved quickly and everyone was very helpful with designs if you weren't prepared. Several of you designed things for me that I really love.
The quest! I was frustrated at moments, but overall it was really fun, and most of the frustration was my own fault for not thinking it though completely.
Grandiose deepening! This little surprise was probably the highlight of the festival for me.
The Bad:
The only negative experience for me this festival was the cost of the AsG service. And the lack of communication here on the forums about the cost. The merchant stated he did not set the price, so I assume it came from the top. I would expect a response from the person responsible when asked about the cost, especially since is was so much higher than any previous cost for the same service. The fact that 4x armor cost the same price as 10x 40 point armor seems like a huge mistake. Please do a better job scaling the costs in the future so they make sense even if you don't have 10x 40 point armor.
Overall, the good beat out the bad, because the merchants were so awesome. (And the bad was most likely due to management making a bad decision, so I can't really blame the event itself.)

Huge (youge!) thanks to everyone who wrote informative signs. I also thought a lot of the item designs were really incredible. I spent a lot more time at merchants than planned. I also really liked the SimuCoin entry tickets.
Even bigger thanks to PFLATS and LTLPRPRINCESS for being amazing with the shopping list. I would not bother trying if both of them weren't involved. PFLATS didn't even go to the fest but put in hours of work to help improve the script immensely (that Archsenex started at EG).
Re: Briarmoon Cove Closing Time on 02/08/2016 08:02 AM CST
Loved this festival - had a great time! Sometimes there were so many merchants working, it was a struggle to pick which one to try for.
I do agree the Grandiose Deepening service was a very pleasant surprise - enjoyed that immensely! Thanks for getting through so many people so quickly! (And no charge, too - made it even faster!)
My only complaints (though, honestly, I am not upset in any ay shape or form about these things but think they bear mentioning):
- If you have a festival/event in the future that only has one mini-game, please at least make more than one 'station'/'room' to do it in. At times the Chiseled room was so screen-scrolly that it was an immense headache to try to pick through the multiple messages to find your own. As someone who's visually impaired IRL and uses a screen reader to navigate the game, it took extra concentration to try to keep up with all the messaging (I also nearly missed a GM script check because of this even though, ironically, I don't script at all and certainly wasn't scripting at the time. I was just focusing too much on my own messaging for the game and skipping other messages for the sake of my sanity. Oops!) For example, at Festival of the Fallen they had mini-games, though there were more than one type you could spread out in so it wasn't as bad. And obviously at EG there are multiple games to spread out to and multiple rooms to dig in, so it's not as pronounced as it was as BMC with the 1 room for the whole festival to play in.
- More merchants that can alter Wounded Wear, please? I realize they weren't sold at this fest, though they had some unlockings. I only found one merchant who was able to alter them that I got picked for - majority said they couldn't. Trying to get all the different wound level descriptions changed on a couple of my items and it's a bit of a project for me that seems to be even more difficult as many can't/won't alter them.
And again - neither of the 2 points above detracted from my enjoyment of the festival overall. At the end when the Chiseled game got spammy to the point of headache, I switched to Let It Ride and actually won over 1.2M overall and it was much more relaxing. Very happy!

Re: Briarmoon Cove Closing Time on 02/08/2016 08:22 AM CST
My wife and I attended this festival, as our first "event" since coming back to the game together, and thoroughly enjoyed it, from top to bottom.
The Good:
- The Forest Armor is amazing, and the quest to get through to the cottage was just different enough for each player that you couldn't simply post all the spoilers and be done. Not too hard, and no combat required, plus the ability to stop halfway through if a merchant crier went out... very well executed.
- The number of merchant services far surpassed my expectations going in. Everyone was friendly (except maybe the puppy hater...), and I was able to get a TON of work done.
- Playing spin the wheel on the ship was a blast, and it was obvious the GMs were having as much fun as the players (though we all might have been a bit punch drunk IRL at that point).
- I was able to get almost everything off my own personal wishlist, including getting Siolan scripts fully unlocked on my lance, plus the unlocked snowball satchel!
- The kegs are so much fun. Cannel and Shylie stocked up, for sure, and had a great, slightly inebriated time whilst waiting in lines.
- Grandiose deepening!
- My wife and I only got told 'no' once for an alteration idea!
The Slightly-Less-Good:
- The odds at the ice sculpting game seemed skewed, like possibly they were set one way initially, then towards the end the realization was made that some things weren't going to get won, and the odds were shifted? Good to get those things out, but those of us that did most of our sculpting early missed out (if that's indeed what happened)
- Lack of a bank onsite to get coins for raffles... I understand, really, how coins would be needed to enter a raffle in real life, but this couldn't be shifted to filling out a voucher authorizing X amount to be taken out of your bank account? Or some sort of automated 'feeder' that would take your note and give you a new one in return? This goes double for minigames... Hauling around coins gets irksome, to say the least. {Sorry, Ms. Merchant, but before I can accept that back, can you please hold these 123456885216574 silvers?}
Overall, a very fun time. We laughed our asses off at various points, and got so much cool stuff done. Thank you very much to all involved, and especially Toku for putting up with an admittedly desperate forest gnome.

Overall, I enjoyed the event and look forward to it again. I especially enjoyed Under the Sun and being lucky enough to get a customized standard for The Order of the Night's Blade as well as a fun new scabbard. Even more so because it would seem my vatunara is for katanas only even though there are two scabbards and I had it deepened at least four times (I really wish there was more info on this in wiki which only states it's practically clothing).
Then of course.. the wonderful butterfly toy which took me by complete surprise due the creator of the toy... who suddenly insists she likes butterflies! <grin>
I look forward to the next fun even, whichever it may be :)

I have been approved to alter Wounded Wear now, so if you run into any of my merchants, they should be able to help you. (Poiret, Favretto, others to come.) I can't unlock it, however -- that's a rare service.

Good to know another merchant will be able to alter them now - thanks!
I understand the unlocking is a rare service - I'm not too concerned about that (was a bit sad I didn't win a raffle spot to unlock to T2 or get spun when unlocking to T2 was one of the options for services, but oh well!) I was mainly concerned with altering the various long descriptions.
Something to look forward to for the next event.

That vatanura sounds like a Greame sheath which only holds erithian weapon pairs like a Katana and a wakizashi or tanto. I havent tried a kozuka but it might work too. With the HSN weapon noun update tachi should be added well if they havent been already.
It wont accept my no-dachi but those dont fit the concept of the sheath, imo. Either way the new fancy sheathes offered at BMC fill that need perfectly. Im quite happy to have mine

Great event! Found some really neat items. Won a raffle I wanted. Got a bunch of stuff lightened, deepened, epic deepened which was a nice surprise, altered, and most of it was free. Great item designs. The lathe was really cool.
Thank you for all the hard work. Expectations exceeded on all fronts.

I also feel it necessary to shout out my kudos regarding Briarmoon Cove! Thanks to all that worked so very hard to give us something that I enjoyed tremendously! To all the GMs that tirelessly came in to offer services - please know that we appreciate your efforts! I liked the chisled game even if I didn't get one of the really special prizes...it was fun trying! The Epic Deepening, OMG...that was awesome and probably my favorite part! I, too, loved the quest even if I was SO tired that I stayed up all night and was brain-dead trying to get that one lousy word for the Huntress! Finally it struck me! It was good to work with others on certain aspects of the game, too. We all tried helping each other there in the wee hours and it was great. The snot? I was hysterical about that!! The person that came up with that has an evil genius mind that I admire!
No complaints other than we needed a bank.
Thanks again!

I wasn't able to buy an orb and attend the festivities until sometime Saturday evening, and I still feel glad I took the plunge and paid. Picked up some lightening, some deepening, and some nice off-the-rack items (Veolas! Perfumes! A gift of a shade-newt! A runestaff from the lathe that I may never use but that looks terribly spiffy!). Every merchant interaction was a pleasure; love it when GMs get as much into the characters as we do. Poiret was a particular joy to work with, and of course Kyrdra was as wonderful as ever. Although I did have to bother Cruxophim for hints a couple of times (thank you, Crux), I thought the mini-adventure in the forest to gain access to the shop there was great fun.
It was also great to see tighter requirements on most of the raffles. It seemed as though the people entering them were more invested in the prizes themselves, not their resale value.
Outstanding job from top to bottom on this one; thank you!

I also had a great time. I did not win a raffle again, but hey I won a nice full unlocked snowball satchel, and the last dragon of the cove plus some other stuff.
Forest quest was a lot of fun. Over all i give it a 8.5 out of 10 which is good for me.
PS: please bring the Revenge around to ice mule, landing, or somewhere soon. I have done the plank game the last three times and never got spun for which is crazy, I enjoy seeing
people die or get weird tattoos, having kydra and two other people there deciding peoples fate was fun as well.
That and I like to gamble.
