Did any GM give a ruling on this?
Is it going to be usable for alters or not?
I'm not going to lie, i got a runestaff that i'd love to put the orb on.

Checking with the inherent nature of these, as well as asking the Chronomage High Council of Orb Alteration Allotments (it's a thing, I swear).

Out of curiosity, is it necessary to provide an orb to get an alteration like this? It seems basically like something that could just be done, like my putting a rusty doorknob on one of mine, without providing the item.
