Going to go ahead and set the dates for FashionCon 5119 as I suspect we won't hear the confirmed Duskruin dates for quite some time yet; this should give everyone enough time to make arrangements if they wish to plan and participate.
Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th August
Set against the backdrop of shimmering blue spires and majestic marble bridges, Ta’Illistim’s finest will be hosting FashionCon, a 3-day conference in August to celebrate fashion in Elanthia. Expect a weekend filled with lectures, workshops and discussion groups, as well as the opportunity to socialise with fellow delegates at parties and other fun events.
As always, I am hoping other CHEs and MHOs will join in. The wiki page has the latest information so feel free to add your events if you are interested in participating or send me your thoughts.

FashionCon 5119 starts this evening with a Champagne Reception at 6pm in the Ailanthus Manor (Ta’Illistim, lich #52). Come and meet your fellow delegates, pick up your Welcome Pack, and enjoy a glass of bubbly. Learn more about what to expect over the next few days.
We hit the ground running an hour later with a raffle for a case of Prestige Champagne and a lecture at 7pm on Imperial Combat Attire from an esteemed member of the Order of the Silver Gryphon, followed at 8pm by a Visual Fashion Tour from the Alliance of High Elven Society. At 9pm, House Paupers and Argent Aspis guide you through the pitfalls of Costuming for Performance and, with Bardfest just around the corner, that’s one lecture you shouldn’t miss!
Speaking of Bardfest, the night’s festivities conclude at 10pm with a spectacular concert hosted by Luxelle and the TownCrier in Ta’Illistim’s grand amphitheatre on Weyr Var. Featuring Bardfest performers old and new, it’s the perfect way to round off the evening with Stars under the Stars.

:tada: Grab a coffee and your free copy of Elanthian Vogue in Ailanthus Manor (lich #52) because day 2 of FashionCon 5119 starts early today with a lecture at 10am on making the most of your time with a merchant. Two lucky delegates will walk away with an elemental-themed morphing gown, courtesy of Elanthian Elegance. Alteration 101 will be followed with a workshop where delegates will have the chance to brainstorm ideas on Style and Expression amongst themselves. With a short break for a Picnic Lunch in the Garden, we resume at 1pm with a lecture looking at how the world of fashion draws upon the natural world for its creativity. Entitled Second Nature, it will hopefully give delegates ideas for the next workshop at 3pm where we take a brief look at Artisan Crafting, which includes a second raffle for a full set of weaving tools.
Tea in the Orangery at 4pm will be followed by an informal discussion on Fashion in Miniature where everyone is encouraged to bring their Whax dolls for swaps and trades! The day ends with a touch of glamour in the Manor’s Mirrored Hall as the Ilyan Syndicate invite you to dress up in your best interpretation of the classic elements for an Elemental Affair, followed by a late-night lecture at 10pm from the Faendryl Enclave on Faendryl Fashion Houses.

There’s no rest for the delegates at the final day of FashionCon 5119. The morning’s programme kicks off at 9am with a Meditation session in the Quiet Garden of Ailanthus Manor (lich #52). Perfect preparation for the rest of the activity-packed day, starting at 10am with a lecture on the Art of Accessorizing and a raffle for a Vanne Fan. At 11am, there is an informal workshop on Scrapbooking and, following a break for lunch, a final lecture, this time on the popular lines by the designers Veola and Joola. One lucky delegate will walk away with a crafted piece, courtesy of House Sylvanfair.
As things start to wrap up, delegates are invited to gather at 3pm for a discussion about fashion in general and share their style stories. Given the location, it only seems appropriate to hold a final raffle for a set of special Ta’Illistim-themed perfumes. Don’t forget to grab your copy of Elanthian Vogue before leaving the manor!
