So rumor has it there are some sad people because a certain Cove up near Pinefar got all snowed in and no one can go visit to see the pretty little town and frolic amongst all the merchants who were going to come to visit.
Yeah we're sad about that too. But you know what? Now isn't the time for being sad. No my friends, now is the time to GET CRAZY. ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKE HOMER SOMETHING SOMETHING? GO CRAZY? DON'T MIND IF I DO!
THIS WEEKEND ONLY! FRIDAY! SATURDAY! SUNDAY! MERCHANTPALOOZA IS COMING TO ELANTHIA!!!

Now that we locked that crazy guy away, some further details. This weekend only, starting on Friday 3/27 and going until Sunday 3/29, Merchantpalooza will be happening across Gemstone - both Prime and Platinum. The rain and snow storms have kept merchants from going to Briarmoon Cove, so now merchants will be visiting all over the game to work for customers. What they will offer will vary. Some may schedule their merchants on the calendar, others may make surprise visits. Be on the look on Twitter for announcements of work as well. We can't give you Briarmoon Cove right now, but we can give you this. So please come join us for the fun!
For me personally, I will be bringing around Hepit, Penre, Ambie, and possibly someone totally new over the course of the weekend.
Of note: Hepit will be doing feature alterations and tattoos, for Premium members only, with a second session for non-Premium folk possible depending on how much time I have. Ambie will be doing two sessions, one Premium, one non, and will be doing GALD or unlocking of 'Fishies'. There will be no new Fishies distributed this weekend, but if you catch Ambie, she can unlock (as always, ONLY for the person who originally received the fishie) them one tier.
Penre does GALD, and the new "person" will do primarily GALD, if they make an appearance at all.

Most of my merchants will be in the east and I plan on doing the following on top of GALD.
Adding hoods to armor concealers.
unlocking feathered boas (off the shelf actions would be rub, wave, wear, and remove)
Unlocking and altering signet rings
unlocking and altering pairs of scripted engagement rings (off the shelf actions PUSH, WEAR, RAISE, TURN sold at EG 2007 first I think)
If you have a wisp from RTCF, I can change your base color:choices ~ Green,Yellow, Red, Blue, Brown, Pink, Grey, Orange, or Purple
I also have a wing merchant who will feature alter Aelotoi wings.
I will not be selling new items, so if you have any of these items feel free to bring them along, if you are not sure bring them and I can make sure its the right item. I can only take them one level above OTS. I will not fully unlock.
I will try and put out a schedule as I can, so look for announcements!

Forgemaster Calardan will be around in the Gnomish Enclave in Ta'Vaalor this weekend. If you're unfamiliar with his offerings, he invites you to tell a story while he works on your weapon. Final say in the design is his, so make your story good.
Seamstress Ylynnil will be wandering about as well! She will typically work on leather or cloth clothing items only (no armor/robes) as well as jewelry. As an added bonus, she may be able to spiffy up your SpiffyCoats, Joola-items, and petticoats (disclaimer: She will only unlock to the first unlock tier).
Stylist Mokosch will bring his fabulous self to Mist Harbor from time to time to offer his general beautifying services. He might work on faces, he might not. It depends on his mood.

I got to gamble on a flying ship (I didn't win) but I had fun doing it.
I got a tour of the same flying ship which was awesome.
I got to see and interact with a couple various merchants.
I got my Fish upgraded!

Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of thank-you's for this past weekend, and for turning it into an incredible and memorable event regardless of the absence of Briarmoon Cove. It was awesome to see the sheer amount of merchants, and to interact with so many of them. I got so many customizations done, it makes me so incredibly happy.
I also wanted to echo Raelee's comment above about the world-tour, I don't think I've ever run back and forth across the dragonspine mountains so many times, and it was nice to spend time in places I just haven't visited much like Ta'Vaalor or Cysaegir, and to appreciate those parts of the game too.
I can only imagine how many hours of work it took for GMs, dealing with excited and possibly demanding customers, and I wanted to share my appreciation as a player for how happy you all made us. Gemstone may be a small game, but the heart of the community is a giant one. So thank you!
