I'm surprised none of the more sadistic GMs have ever come up with the idea of temporarily turning an entire town into a spellburst area during an invasion...

While not spellburst, I created a makeshift shroud when a Grimswarm warchief and multiple Grimswarm shamans took over Wehnimer's Landing in Platinum. Players had to kill the shamans to cause the shroud to be lifted.

Annoying thing, that shroud. Magic fizzled throughout town, including healing spells.

I should say, while annoying and evil, it was a clever twist and kept things interesting. Was fun!
