I purchased the ethereal armor, and after testing it myself and speaking to the owners of two other sets, it seems the armor is broken. None of us have seen a single flare despite taking numerous hits. I was also told by Ledirth that I could assist to have the settings customized. I've assisted and bugitemed, but there hasn't been a response yet. My position in the queue hasn't moved in 3 days, although I've been on pretty frequently. Could we please have some sense of when we might see an answer to this? Thank you, I know how busy you all are and I appreciate all you do!

The ambient flares are working, but I've probably been hit by 30 creatures' physical attacks and never seen a flare. Neither of the other two owners have seen one, either. I know they've been hit as well, but I can't speak as to how much. Feel free to pull me and take some shots if that would help!

So for anyone curious or trying to plan their custom colors, after a little testing, it looks like this is the messaging for the flares:
A burst of X light flares up around your blackened scalemail as a series of X and Y ethereal chains encase your body against a plains ogre's attack!
It seems the DS and HCP flares are combined, so there's only one message. This is what the ANALYZE contains regarding colors:
The blackened scalemail has a custom padding color of: X
The blackened scalemail has a custom DS flare color of: Y
The blackened scalemail has a custom color of: Z
It looks like X and Y only apply to that one flare message, and Z is for activated scripts like RUB.
