These are both 40+ casts of Smite Foe and Shatter, on an Archer that is already beat up.
You gesture at a giant one-eyed archer.
Your cambrinth amulet emits a loud snap as it discharges its power to aid your spell.
A brilliant stream of pure white light jumps from you to a giant one-eyed archer, warping into a hammer-shaped force that slams into it!
A giant one-eyed archer is able to shrug off the magical strike.
The hammer-shaped light silently explodes.

Uncomfortable looking twists pull at a giant one-eyed archer's skin, but no noticeable damage is done.

C'mon.. throw me a bone here. These are even with at 21 minute 'greatly' MO up. Yesterday night I had a high level pirate MR a 50+ halt.

>>maybe the archers are Barbarians.
Other spells work fine on them, at much lower preps. It's when I actually try to do physical or vitality damage that nothing works.
Exactly what will I be expected to have to actually have my magic function at higher level critters? It's not like its not tedious to train as it is.

Keep preaching I'm right with you. I mean sure, if I have 10 minutes to prep for a battle, I'm all good. If I have to go at it on the run, well it's get your RW on, try for the Halt...if that doesn't work...grit your teeth and try not to die as you get Anti Stun, HOW, and DA up.
Yup, we are front of the line fighters. Ohhh...don't try to banner either because you just wasting mana at that point.

uhh let me just make a side note, MO has absolutely no affect what so ever in smite, you'll have the same affect wether its min prep, not on at all, or max. It won't help its a Spell vs. Stamina spell, that equation doesn't use charisma or discipline in it at all.
So your looking at the wrong spell to help

well either way the main stats for spell vs stamina is STrenght and Stamina and uhh they probably have an insane amount of both, especially strenght to wield those massive swords on their back, its not will vs will. so either way noone in the realms would probably ever be able to affect a cyclops or one eyed archer with it

you just said it right there <g>
>>"For Spell vs Stamina spells: The caster will use discipline, charisma, stamina and strength. The target uses stamina and strength."
Target uses stamina and strenght, Caster uses Stamina and Strenght, discipline may be a higher affect for the caster but its not used on the target so your fighting against the targets Stamina and Strenght, nothing else meaning to defend it is the main stat, and the most common ones so it is the most important overall in the equation.
and like I said before, lotta stamina and alotta strenght to wield those swords so your discipline, charisma, strenght, stamina, and PM may never be able to overpower the strenght and stamina of the Cyclops

>>For Spell vs Stamina spells: The caster will use discipline, charisma, stamina and strength. The target uses stamina and strength. A modifier is current health of the target. The change here is the addition of stamina and strength to the part of the caster, and appropriate fiddling to maintain forumla balance on the side of the target.
Which would mean courage (which increases stamina) and MO (which increases discipline) would increase power of the spell.

Well, just make four paladins, each with the same PM and harness, then give them all 12 in each of the four stats, with 15 in a different one each. If the ones with 15 stamina and strength do better than the ones with 15 discipline or charisma, then you know which ones are more powerful.
Player of Linras Cauldrath - never going to do the test, but knows there is a process
