Can we get some GM feed back regarding certin spells and the global previews?

Grizzley Claw - The only useful thing about this spell is getting out of webs which is still wonkey because there is no skill check, the damage from the spell is next to none and I cannot think any situation in which i would use this spell besides being web.

Fix - Take away the damage aspect and add unbalancing and the potentional to stun the target.

BES - Bear strenght would be a great spell! but it's held mana spell, which aren't very useful because you can only use them for a few minutes before your nerves are shot. I know Rigby said he wasn't happy with the way held mana spells are working and that he would look at it?

CS - Same as BES

PLS - See Dritz's post he basically sums it up, Duration of mana boost needs to be doubled, needs area cast for dead bodies, should effect injured beings, the maggots and such would be attracted to open wounds, and would end up increasing bleeders with a very high chance of infecting the wounds

Compost - PLEASE fix this spell! the duration of this spell should be 4x what it is now. Rigby said he would look at it but i doubt he ever had time to get around to it because he's been so busy. Also compost at higher levels should be able to break down metals and such. (this has the potential of being a great spell if it was just fixed!)

These spells really need to be fleshed out before the end of the global previews expecially if these spells are prereqs for any of the cool spells like WS, STW, SOTT, HB, or Sop

Thanks

P.S.
If rigby isn't reading the boards can someone forward this to him, also I hope that he will change his stance on the boards and communicate with us a bit more so that we can give a bit more input.

PPS

Keep the area effect with swarm!

BES and CS are actually good as held mana spells. Although right now I think there is still a problem with held mana, in that it slips away far too quickly and easily. But, being held mana, they have the benefit of giving you a pool of held mana to add to any spell you want to cast. Go into a low mana room with a BES up and then prep a spell at low mana and behold, a powerful cast without much mana spent.

Yea, I didn't realize how much it tends to say "you feel a tiny bit of mana slip away" until Paladins got Heroic Strength.

Personally, I think for every 25 ranks of harness or so, you should just be able to hold onto 1 point of mana without having any chance of it leaking unless your concentration drops signifigantly or you get stunned.

I can hold about 25 mana or so (no clue how these spells work or how much you need) for a very, very long time with no visible nerve damage.

While I have more ranks than are going to be attainable by most rangers/paladins, I'd still have to say the biggest drawback to held mana spells is the inability to use other magic rather than nerve damage.
