Currently Vocals seems a very hard skill to work that some guilds can now take advantage of (besides Bards).
I suggest it be renamed Oral and cover a slightly broader set of ways to train and use.
Perhaps it could affect and be used in non-violent interactions... possibly in RP events.
Certainly some of the current RPers would have pretty good Oral skill if things were properly kept track.

Would be nice to have a vocal aspect to all the classes we teach, but that's probably too good to be possible. Other than that, maybe we could create or incorporate a LECTURE command. The LECTURE command would work like singing in that you don't have to first offer the class to your potential students. However, learning would run similar to the library-book scholarship learning scale. The more time the lecturer spent lecturing, the more he'd learn, and vice versa for the students in scholarship.

This idea had been brought up a month or so ago and it winded down because the skill, Teaching, was determined to be enough skill gained. Why base a skill's viability on the rank you hold in another skill? Not to shoot your idea down. I wish I could recall the name of the thread for you, but there have just been too many since then.

(Moments later) I think I just "ominoused" myself.
