Skinning: 960 19% interested (12/34)

That is after about 45 minutes in elders. Any chance we can get a slight uptick in skinning experience? Im survival secondary.

For comparison purposes

Evasion: 1xxx 18% nearly locked (33/34)
Athletics: 726 30% very rapt (31/34)
Perception: 1xxx 44% nearly locked (33/34)

I realize this is an economic skill and slightly different than the above skills (although in the same skill set), but I just feel like if we're going to talk game balance skinning still needs to tick up a slight bit in terms of reward per kill in the 3.0 world.

For the record I'm killing these things as fast as I possibly can.

Heres my 56th barbarian after about 45 minutes in caracals, not exactly the same difference but still there. Note, I'm not saying it needs to lock as fast as evasion or anything like that, but after 45 minutes of constant killing/skinning it would be cool to lock it and go do something else.

Evasion: 366 48% mind lock (34/34)
Skinning: 321 61% cogitating (24/34)

What are the respective kill rates between the characters? Are you arranging?

Skinning experience is currently broken due to the vitality changes. Arrange x4, arrangeall x1, and then skinning will help. If possible, throw up a cyclical damage spell and scrape as well.

Skinning is broken and will not be fixed, this has become a feature.

You mean other than the fix that was released, then rolled back because it was causing other issues, but will eventually be re-released?

What? No its not broken and yes it can get fixed, it just needs another slight uptweak in the exp given out per skin, like they've already done to a lesser extent. When 3.0 first came out it was really bad, but they've tweaked it. I was just suggesting a slight tweak to uptick exp a bit more might be needed.

Skinning: 960 59% enthralled (32/34)

and maybe it happened...

This is wrong. This is only a way to waste time. Arrange ALL does NOT increase skinning experience compared to five arranges. It is a technique that allows tailors to harvest skins with reduced roundtime, at the expense of reduced experience, assuming they are skinning a creature that still teaches them skinning.

Arrange x5 is the maximum amount of skinning experience. Full stop.

Using Arrange All on the fifth arrange will, at best, do nothing but add 3 pointless seconds of roundtime. At worst, it could actually reduce your learning from the first 4 arranges, as it is designed to save time while gathering crafting materials at the expense of experience.

Arrange All is NOT for skinning training. While some people find that the time saved is worth the experience lost to them, since being re-released as a tailoring technique, Arrange All has not been the way to maximize skinning training.

Pretty sure it was for Rangers when it was Ranger exclusive, but without being certain I parsed my statement to only reflect what I was certain about.

Yes originally arrange all was for rangers so we could increase the difficulty of skinning enough to learn. Then eventually you had to basically fail to learn so you would be using a halberd to try and skin something. So glad it's not that bad anymore

Please stop the snide comments and name calling. We have a perfectly good conflicts folder down in The Social Side of Dragonrelams < Conflicts - Strictly Out of Character if you need to part take in that sort of thing. Posts here should reflect on the topic at hand.

Try arrangex4 +arrangeall and you will see an increase in learning. This might not be how it is suppose to work, it is how it is working. =)

By this line of logic, both AMBUSH SLASH and PROTECT are bug abuse anywhere no matter how they're being used. Something not working as intended being used is a grey area, ranging from 'we'll fix it when we can' to 'banned for life'.

Victimless crimes are not crimes by any reasonable measure. I think most of what is considered bug abuse use this measure as well. Just make sure to put in a bug report of it if you think it's off.

And as long as you aren't pissing on someone's parade, let it rain.

I named the two most broken abilities that I could think of; at this point probably the most widely known as well. And you're just being snooty - which is fine. Wouldn't expect anything different from you.

Hit me up on IM sometime if you want to have a dialogue, and not just trade insults.
