Visored chain helm in Riverhaven at the shop near the former home of... stabbity-stabbity thunk!

Beloric

Sir Eglamour, that worthy knight,
He took his sword and went to fight;
And as he rode both hill and dale,
Armed upon his shirt of mail,
A dragon came out of his den,
Had slain, God knows how many men!

I have searched for light chain protection for my head, neck and eyes, and can not seem to find a single piece that is strictly LC. I was curious if anybody knew if such a thing existed or should i just not bother.

Haven has good metal armor that covers most areas. I believe there is an LC coif that will do the job.

Also, in Shard there is a balaclava, but I'm not certain it's strictly LC.

I believe the Balacava in shard is neutral. It'll be whatever your highest chain armor is.

Last I was in haven I couldn't find a LC item that also covered my eyes. I believe you are referring to the shop that also carries the visored chain help which is HC and protects the eyes, but it has been a little since I checked the shop out, but last I knew the LC didn't cover the eyes. All balacava's that I have seen are of the neutral chain which would make them HC for me.

Unfortunately, there's nothing that's true LC that protects your eyes as well. Neutral armor is seriously frustrating to anyone that trains multiple armors. Hopefully this will be addressed somewhat with the forging rewrite, but it would be nice to see a few storebought pieces as well.

Couldn't tell you where I picked this up, so I'm not sure if it's a true LC or not since LC is my highest of the two.

*a darkened chain balaclava adorned with an iron dragon circlet*

The chain balaclava is light chain.

The balaclava looks like it offers protection for the following areas:

head
neck
right eye
left eye

You feel certain that a darkened chain balaclava adorned with an iron dragon circlet appears to impose light maneuvering hindrance and offers:
good protection and moderate damage absorption for puncture attacks.
good protection and moderate damage absorption for slice attacks.
good protection and moderate damage absorption for impact attacks.
moderate protection and moderate damage absorption for fire attacks.
moderate protection and moderate damage absorption for cold attacks.
low protection and moderate damage absorption for electrical attacks.

If you were only maneuvering in a darkened chain balaclava adorned with an iron dragon circlet you could expect to be unhindered.

You are certain that the chain balaclava is fairly sturdy, and is in pristine condition.

The chain balaclava is made with metal.
The chain balaclava is quite supple.
You are certain that the chain balaclava weighs 100 stones. (confirmed by MAMAS)
You are certain that the chain balaclava is worth exactly 13781 kronars.

A balaclava is neutral, though when you appraise it, I'm certain that your LC ranks are higher than your HC ranks, otherwise it would appraise as HC. If you were to train HC high enough to surpass your LC, that same balaclava wouuld then appraise as HC.

Yeah, 100 stones is neutral weight.

It would be nice if you could tell it was neutral from the appraisal without knowing all the cut off weights.

But it would be even nicer if there were fewer neutral things in general. Especially when you consider that people often use accessories to backtrain a lower armor, yet the accessories default to your higher armor...

There's a non-neutral LC helm in Riverhaven but it doesn't cover the eyes
