Arzfilt or similar on 05/29/2005 07:59 AM CDT
It appears I may have lost my second arzfilt, which I think is a signal to me to start getting serious about a good forged weapon. Now I've gotten very accustomed to the arzfilt, which has an extremely heavy blade. I actually first bought it by accident when I first started and had a plat I didn't know what to do with. I spent many of my early TDPs on strength so I could wield it...ahh the memories.
Anyway, is there a similar weapon that can be forged? A heavy, heavy edged weapon? And how much do they go for?
Incidentally, though this is technically the wrong folder, I also have a heavy-bladed scimitar. (Just decided to go with the same theme). Looking for a similar forged weapon if possible.

I'm not sure the weight on the Arzfilt but i'm fairly sure it's heavy slice...
If you want to continue using literally heavy blades:
# 40 stone l/h/f f/f mod strong
# 40 stone l/g/l f/r fairly sturdy
# 50 stone l/g/f p/r mod strong
I'd suggest the second 40 or 50 stone.
They run between 15 and 20 plat kronars.

Ha. When I was young, the arzfilt looked so BIG and so EXPENSIVE. But now I just sent my bard to the shop to look. I can't get an appraise as it's a catalogue item but...
Kilora looks up from her work with a smile and says, "The arzfilt weighs around 35 stones. It's a straight blade with a diamond-shaped cross-section, about a hand wide and 8 hands long. Like the mainlander's broadsword, the blade is honed on both edges to allow the user to swing in either direction. The diamond cross-section gives the blade more weight, putting more force behind each hit. This is primarily a slicing weapon. My catalog has more information, on page 3. If you're interested, the cost would be 5800 lirums."
I could have sworn it was bigger..heavier.. more expensive.

>>I.. seem to recall it used to cost 15 plat.. ::blink:: Hm.. Or maybe that's the robe sword, 10 plat? Not sure..
The first time I went to Aesry, I died three times on the way over (pirates, and I didn't know about how to avoid them). Then I go there and realized there was nothing I could hunt. I was bored and broke. Somebody felt bad for me and they gave me a gem that sold for almost a plat. I had no idea what to do with it, so I bought the arzfilt. {sigh} I miss it.
