There appears to be something weird that happens if you get hit with the Xala'shar vanquisher special attack in the window between getting the eyes healed and having the blindness state fade away. This just happened to me:
You gesture.
Your cambrinth armband emits a loud snap as it discharges all its power to aid your spell.
Flowing streams of bright blue and white energy spring up from under your feet, enwreathing you with a cool, soothing glow. Your body wrenches as internal organs are created and regrown, leaving you completely healed.

That won't affect your current attunement very much.
With meditative movements you prepare your body for the Vitality Healing spell.
>cast
With a wave of your hand, your vitality is fully restored.
>health
A hulking Xala'shar vanquisher slams the dark steel plates attached along the length of its arms together before quickly drawing them against each other with a metallic screech, sending a shower of burning blue sparks hurtling towards your face!
You are aware of the injury to your flesh, but it cannot harm your vitality through your Perseverance.
The shower of burning blue sparks collides with your face, but you don't feel any blinder than you were before.
[You're winded, incredibly balanced and overwhelming your opponent.]
>
Your body feels at full strength.
Your spirit feels full of life.
You are slightly fatigued.
You have some minor abrasions to the left arm.
You have no significant injuries.
>look
You feel your sight returning...
So I got blinded, healed myself completely with FoC, restored my vitality with VH, then got hit again by the special attack. That one didn't re-blind me or damage my eyes though, since it seems to have thought I was already blind. Instead, it gave me an insignificant injury on the left arm (what the heck?) and I got the sight returning message on my next LOOK shortly thereafter.
