So Morah Vines/Creeprs have stopped teaching me and I was wondering what's next? I have between 140 and 160 in my defenses. Thanks.

Consider swains, if you want boxes. If you're a cleric, use your buffs and consider dark spirits. You might even get away with swamp trolls or small peccs- but mind the swarms.

Good luck!

Snow Goblins out on Aesry. They have boxes and are skinnable. The first tier ones should be perfect!

You also see a plovik leaf, a burly snow goblin, a chipped marble mortar, a chipped marble mortar and a grimy marble pestle. Look out! The snow goblins are taking up alchemy.

If you want to stay in the area you can just go to Marauders and Wood trolls.

Bloodvines. You'll get beat to hell at first by their special attack, but that's okay, since bloodvines are part of a progressive chain of the best-defense training creatures in the game.

Just a real quick question considering I just returned to the game after a rather extended absence, what progressive train of the best defensive training critters in the game are you speaking about? I'm sitting between 170 and 220 in all defenses except multi (149 I think, and evasion 140- I'm a paladin btw) and seem to have difficulties find that "right" critter, if you would enlighten me I would be greatly appreciated.

At those ranks I was in black leucs. I know I had just under 220 weapon when I left there and went to try the baby/fledgeling gryphons near Shard. My defenses would've been a bit higher than that. I could've stayed in black leucs for a bit longer for defenses but it got ridiculous to learn weapon from leucs. There are also red leucs up in the garg area between the gondola and Shard as well. They are a bit harder than black leucs, but not terribly so and they don't tend to swarm much.

Now that I think of it, your signature says Emerald Knight. The shadoweavers behind the wall would probably be fabulous teachers for you right now. A nice bridge between leucros and gryphons if you choose to go that route. The only downside (for me) was that they aren't skinnable, but red leucs and gryphons both are.

I'm extremely interest in this as well! Could Korsik or someone who knows what he's talking about please elaborate?

Bloodvines have a thorn attack. It can't be parried, only dodged or shield blocked. Since they have reasonably high gen, attack quickly and do little damage, they are ideal for training... except for the parry issue.

For a paladin, get a PFE scroll, and the bloodvines are much less potent. Leave 1 or 2% in parry, rest in shield, and should learn parry also.

Looking to find a critter in my skill range, currently hunting vipers. They are good for training everything but parry for me as I either set evasion high enough to dodge the posion and can't train parry or set evasion low enough to train parry and get consistently hit with the posion attack. The creature needs to be skinnable.

Parry Ability: 152 00% dabbling
Multi Opponent: 169 98% attentive
Twohanded Edged: 156 09% thoughtful
Shield Usage: 160 31.60% intrigued
Evasion: 173 24% attentive
Leather Armor: 175 82% considering

And a ranger if that helps

stance parry
stance evas 0
stance shield 80
stance parry save

You should now be able to train parry in vipers.

Head west from the trailhead into the Fens.

The brockett deer are tiered, I think the most difficult (adult or elder) will teach to the 300s.

They slow down well before that. I gave up on them around 200.

They teach well past 275, although your learning rates might be 5-10 instead of 34, you're still learning as well as you can.

Steadily killing, I wasn't locking my weapons as fast as I wanted to, so I went to red leucros and did it faster.
