360ish evasion, ~340 parry/shield/mo, melee weapons from 260 to 320, 50 reflex

Can I train here? Will they just trounce my weapons/armor? What about avoiding the special attack (is that stat based?)?

If not, I'm looking for something near Shard after young gryphons (I can climb the undergondola route so anything south of the Crossing/Leth ferry is "close". I really prefer non-parry/shield critters because of the range of weapons I train. I don't mind moving but I don't want to spend all my time searching for a room with 2 critters. Skinning is a serious consideration, boxes are a bonus.

If I can't find my perfect critter near shard, what other mainland options are there (I'm guessing pecs, but man I don't want to move to rossmans)?

The germish special attack is beyond annoying, especially when it kills you (I'd also like to know what is contested). But you should be able to train just fine in there.

Bristlebacks will train your weapons to around 350-370 and then slow down considerably.

You seem to be in the same pre-celpeze gap that I'm in. It sucks.

I think the throw attack checks reflex. They never manage to grab me anymore.

The shield grab attack seems to check something else though, because with 99 reflex I still lose my shield. I'd guess strength.

Actually Bristlebacks train very well to 400+ if you are patient... Weapons and armor alike. It's worth the effort.

Diggin' the spiders right now. Little sparse trying to find more than 1 sometimes, but I'm not looking to train MO. Double bonus they teach skinning well and climbing too. I'll probably go hit bristles to pull up some of my lower weapons once my HE gets where I want it (and backtrain some defenses while I'm at it).

Wrote a little script to get around the area:

If it requires patience, they don't train very well. Don't they hard cap evasion at 420? By 400 you should be thinking of moving on. There are better things out there that actually train really well, not just really well if you're afraid to try something else.
