First of all, how far can you milk blood wolves for? I'm currently in the 90s with all my combat skills, except Evasion and MO which are 100+. I'm still learning defenses great with multiple wolves, without much difficulty, but I feel like weapons are slowing down a bit. Am I just imagining things?
Second, where are some good places to go after blood wolves (and at what ranks)? I know vines/creepers are supposed to be excellent teachers but I tend to prefer skinnable critters. What are some other options? I'm willing to travel.
Stats are strength 20, stamina 20, reflex 24, agility 24.

snowbeasts are great after blood wolves.
i went rats-hogs-boars-eels-beisswurms-bonewolves-bloodwolves-snowbeasts-silverleucros-serpents-crocs-la'tami-vipers-blackleucros-deer-redleucros-peccary-gryphons. with some stops in other critters to try them out, and a little bit of box-training here and there, but those were the main ones fought so far.

Oh and last one, DR at any given time has a population of weenies that will criticize at the drop of a hat, don't take things personally it happens to everyone.

>>You can probably get to 110 or so without it being to terribly painful. I would agree that silver leucs are a great next step after that.<<
^This.
Blood wolves will take defenses to 125ish and weapons to 110ish easily enough. If you're impatient, you can leave there when weapons get to 90 and defenses to 110 and go straight to silver leucros on Ratha. If you prefer to stay in Therengia, vines and creepers are great, but watch out for the gypsy marauders. Also, young red brocket deer are great.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like there are a few good options. Sounds like silver leucros are a good bet. Although I might go down and play with snowbeasts and gargs for a little.
So how about young brocket deer? I've never been there before. How many ranks should someone have to start there, and do they teach well?

The best part about young brocket deer is you can go there right after blood wolves and they spawn great, train well, and all the rest of that stuff that makes them a great critter to hunt. There are also 3 tiers: young brocket deer, brocket deer, and elder brocket deer. You can start youngs and take your combats over 200 through elders. The downside is there are only 4 rooms per tier, and cougars get mixed in with the upper two tiers. This can be a good thing if you can keep 1 or two on you as you move up the tiers, it will allow you to not get smacked if you suddenly get 4 brocket deer on you and you're not completely ready for them. It's a good hike west of the bin in Lang, and there's usually not a lot of empathic/clerical support if you die out there. Oh, and the furrier is a LONG way from brocket deer. I loved hunting there though. Great spawn rate and good training.

All right, for anyone else in the future who reads this with similar skills to me, I have gone and checked out the young brocket deer and I can handle them just fine with combat skills in the 90-100 range. I'm not even berserking. I haven't engaged more than 2, but I haven't been hit yet at all.
