In the interest of elanthipedia, I have a question.

<<Dryad Priestess - Level 34
<<Twisted Driady - Level 36

Is it possible to get a list of creature levels so that they could be added to the wiki? I vaguely recall mention of an official creature level, but have never seen it so explicitly listed before. I had just assumed it was an NDA type of thing.

Super duper old list, but it's a start (if it's still correct, at least... I doubt war mammoths are level 75 still): http://www.play.net/dr/info/bestiary/creature_search.asp

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

Just glancing through that bestiary, it seems like 4x to 5x level is roughly the lower end for ranks to safely start hunting. When I went to check out the area on my bard, the creatures are all way below my 200ish weapon ranks (using app careful). If I can find a weapon for some of the skills I've trained and then dropped, I might be able to get a better estimate.

One thing I do remember, from the appraisal. Both dryads are immune to piercing damage.

Our levels don't exactly match up to character levels.

For example.. copperhead vipers are level 11, so are malodorous bucca, and so are sand sprites. Yet, people claim different training ranges for them.

To be fair, assigning a creature level independent of the many variables involved seems sketchy anyhow. As I go through the Skinnable/Undead or Cursed hunting progression and update it on the wiki, ,I must constantly remind myself that the fact that I'm a Cleric changes the skill level of the creature involved. Not to mention that Barbarians skill set differs wildly from an Empaths etc...

Following up on this, here's some comparison:

Twisted dryads - lvl 36
Swamp trolls - lvl 35

Dryad priestess - lvl 34
Peccary - lvl 34

Hope this helps.

So to reiterate the OP's post.

With also recognizing that "creature level" is a thing that helps guage relative difficulty and is not any form of absolute.

Is there any way we can get lists of these for various creatures from GM-staff (since I know of no way for us players to see that).

I'd personally be most interested in creatures present in Zoluren, but happy to hear of creatures everywhere (including invasion-only).

I'm sure many would be more than willing to provide you with whatever you need to work from. And to transcribe that info directly to epedia.

Likely missing many, but this information was mostly easily gathered.

Oh, wow! I honestly didn't think we'd be given a list. Thanks!

I'm going to see Magic Mike XXL with my gurls in a bit, so I'll get to work on that later tonight or tomorrow.

Are you planning on adding it to epedia? I could help out if needed.

Hmmm. I wonder if these are the "base" creatures, and other offshoots are copies with modifications. Can you discuss why some wouldn't be on the list? Just generally. :)

Just a heads up this area has been getting increasingly crowded. There are only seven rooms and because they are an "endgame" critter most people will be hunting here for a looooooooong looooooooong time. A premie-moth area might be a good idea. It might settle down as well, but at 7AM CST it was full.

Impressive as usual!

Ahah. Makes sense. I'll stop with the wild speculation then!
