Hello,
Does the free trial include all the benefits that a paid platinum subscription would include? premium benefits, extra character slots etc.? I am interested in trying it out. Could someone refer me please?

All the in-game stuff is the same, yes. Whatever extra bonus you get from the referral (ie, bonus plat points) won't be available until you're actually being debited, due to technical limitations.

Something to do with how Billing handles trial accounts. You don't get whatever bonus the trial signup said you were entitled to until your trial period expires.

Hello All!
I played DR many years ago, recently got bored and reactivated my account only to find this free offer. What fun! I activated my account without a referrer, but I wanted to stop by and say "Heyo!" and I'll be seeing you all around! I was a bit surprised to find a Beckah already taken in Plat, so I'm playing as Milady.

Beckah is already attached to your account, so it's actually yours.
If you want to contact Billing tomorrow, they should be able to arrange to have it freed up so you can use it. The reason it says it's unavailable is all complicated to explain and ultimately irrelevant, so I won't bother with it. ;)

Well, I'm quite fine playing with Milady, mostly I was just a little disturbed that people might be running around with the names of other characters. I'd hate to get all excited if I saw Mir, Gabriel, or Tyler only to find out it
's not really them, and I wouldn't want to run into a Beckah that wasn't being played by me. It would be a little creepy.
Although, I always did want to be Aiffe....
