I assisted the other night over not being able to create a S'kra with hh in his name and they were unable to tell me why the game was kicking it, but a little more playing around in the character manager convinced the game to explain to me that I'm supposed to avoid "names with two characters together like 'hh'". This does not, however, apply to any other combination I tried(though I admittedly didn't try every letter). Thus, Saurthhan(the character I've already had several years) is now apparently an invalid name, but another version, say .. Saurthannnnnnnn, is.

This wouldn't be such a huge deal to me, except that it's a basic vowel in our language, and from over here it seems like a rather arbitrary decision to just stop allowing it in character names, since it's in the names of numerous S'kras, PCs, NPCs, and in IG history, already. It's even written into an IG book, Ways of the S'kra Mur, whose author has hh in their name:
<<"It is not my intent to cover either the spoken S'kra or the written Eth'ral'khh, but I would like to note the most common source of confusion about our language. "HH" is a vowel in our tongue, roughly equivalent to an "uh" or "eh" sound in most other languages.">>

Even from the point of view of attempting to keep names more "pronouncable", even assuming that you don't know what hh is supposed to be, it pales in comparison to the way some people completely mangle and rend spelling in their attempts to name their character the way they want.

So, anyways, I was just looking for some kind of explanation for the new change, preferrably from a GM, if there is any explanation. I apologize if this wasn't the appropriate place to post this, but changes to names sounded as good of a place as any.

Maybe Shhaddeux got annoyed at all the people who copied his name and finally became a GM.
