Just a curious thought, since I have no idea how much more regularly used accounts are there than those are online on average, but since Sang posted some statistics from a while back.. without discussing trends, it seems it is pretty "average" to expect total warnings per week in the high "teens".

Just for rough guestimates, if we use 16/wk for 52wks in a year, that's over 800 script warnings in a year.

With # players peaking at the 700's during prime time, this makes me want to know just how many actively used (not just being paid for) accounts are there. Even as someone who's had warnings in the past I find it pretty scary if there aren't say, at least 3000~4000 unique active players logging on/off each month, and even then, that'd mean at least 20% of the player base has a "criminal record".

I had a few vulgarity warnings, and a masked vulgarity warning I'd say... 8 - 10 years ago. I've had no other warnings, and have no active warnings. I don't believe my (DR)wife has ever had a warning.

A Large Mastterm's group just went north.

[Volentri] "nevermind,, false alarm"

This is starting to get a bit off topic, and off the top of my head I don't know what the breakdown is either for number of players, or percentage that has warnings. My anecdotal experience is there are people who got warned in their first couple of days for doing a Samuel L Jackson impersonation and never got in trouble again, and then there are people who get warned frequently (and thereby sent to me).

As to old warnings, this is something Solomon has addressed often, but I can add my two cents as well. They are basically not considered unless there are serious circumstances. To give an example, let's say "Bob" got warned for PvP and language in 1999 (he started a fight with someone wrongly, got warned, started swearing because he didn't like it, and got warned again for swearing, whoops). It's now 2006 and there's a new PvP situation that's being looked at. If the warnings were last month, Bob isn't going to have much leeway. Since they were seven years ago, we're going to look at it as though that didn't happen because it was so long ago.

Unless, and there had to be one in there somewhere, we find out he's the same Bob who ran Bob1, Bob2, Bob3 and Bob4, and all of those guys have been causing problems off and on for the whole time. Then those warnings from 1999 might get looked at because what we're seeing is a pattern of behavior going back 7 years without any changes. Odds are though, if that's the case, Bob would have been sent to me years ago, and if I happen to be around when things start happening, and I find out it's the same Bob I've removed three times before, Bob can expect a visit from me telling him goodbye.

So I hope that answers all of those questions.

Bob! It's what's for dinner!
