So in regards to the new abilities, there are a few things that I would like to understand more clearly for testing and preparation purposes.
|-- Guile (Debil) - AOE pulsing debuff (engaged) Charm vs Will. Evasion debuff.
So what this says to me is that I will occasionally reduce the evasion of my engaged opponents based on how high my charisma is in comparison to their discipline. Since it's pulsing, it might get stronger the longer I'm in combat with it active.
|-- Prowess (Debil) - AOE pulsing debuff (engaged) Fear vs Will when hidden, Power vs Will otherwise. Reflex, Tactics debuff.
Prowess should reduce their reflexes and their tactics, based on their discipline. The contest is based on how high my Fear is? when I'm hidden, or my strength when I'm out in the open. How do I determine fear?
|-- Serenity (Util) - SvS barrier vs Will.
Really clueless on this one. Spell versus spell barrier against an enemies discipline/concentration?
|-- Sagacity (Util) - Physical damage ward.
I suppose this one is a little more self-explanatory. I would assume it acts as an additional layer on our armor, a sort of buff to our absorption or protection?
So yes, apologies for the wall of text, but I'm sure I'm not the only one a bit unfamiliar with the acronyms and some of the subtler mechanics.
Thanks for your time!

Well, it pulses every 10 seconds, so you should pretty much pick up anything engaged to you with it. It does not get stronger, it just continues to persist for each pulse.
>>How do I determine fear?
The fear contest is based on Charisma, Strength and Discipline.
>>Spell versus spell barrier against an enemies discipline/concentration?
It works on more than just spells. If an ability or spell uses the SvS mechanics, when the defense for that SvS is Will, then it will give you a boost to your score for that contest.
>>I would assume it acts as an additional layer on our armor, a sort of buff to our absorption or protection?
Close. It's more like an invisble shield that takes the damage you would have normally received and gets weaker each time until it can't take any more.
