How do I transfer a character to test to mess around with the new changes? I've just started playing again and would really like to poke around on test with my cleric

On the website left of the character select is the instance you want.. choose test. Or in the launcher after signing in it will ask you what game instance and pick DragonRealms Test. Your character will already be waiting for you.

He said he just returned, so if he reactivated his account since the last copy he'll have to flag down a GM via ASSIST. Not all of them can do it, though.
