Can we please get perhaps two new anatomy charts to bridge the gap between Gidii and Lanky Grey Lach? Sitting at 466 ranks of Scholarship, I learn very little from Gidii on down, yet Lach still gives me monster roundtimes, even with a capped Faenella's Grace up. Plus, two more charts will push the total to twenty, just enough to fill two compendiums, and that just works out kind of nicely.

While we're at it, a few more silver-leucro level charts would be nice also to get you firmly into the race charts.

Also, please, let us remove and replace charts in a compendium.

You turn to the section containing Gidii physiology.

Anatomy Charts are not intended to be the be-all and end-all of scholarship, but more as a supplement.

Oh, and that's fine, but what's it a supplement TO? Even with access to all the Recall abilities, I can't really get Scholarship moving at any decent rate without the charts, and like I mentioned before, in the mid 400s, I'm in a bit of a gap.

This is your idea of a supplement? Hmm, I WAS going to buy me a new computer...but I guess now's a good time to unveil the DR-Obseden Good Time's A-Poppin' Award. Given to the one GM each year whose contributions have best bettered the game for all involved.

We seriously need more supplements like this one. :)

My only complaint about them are that they should have been player crafted items using/teaching the teaching skill. In terms of usage, the are very nice for my skill level.

Which removes experience from the empaths. Or the recently-deceased, if we ever got the FA teaching from healing herbs like people seem to want.

Honestly? Don't really care.

The extreme advantage non-Empaths get by no longer suffering from death scars - which limit tons of activity - easily outweighs the potential loss of experience, given that huge chunks of the population still rely on Empaths for healing and there are other, non-healing methods of gaining experience.

I think it is telling that only one person responded negatively to this change, at least on the boards.

I think it's telling who responded negatively, and why.

What about First Aid then? After reading every monster chart above the race charts -

First Aid: 373 20.58% perplexed

/gaze hopeful

Incidentally, what was the intention of having just the one chart way out there by 150+ ranks?

It would be cool (or at least amusing in my mind) for players with enough scholarship* to be able to study a critter similar to how moon mages can study constellations, and put what they memorized down on paper.

Then these papers can be inserted/removed from compendiums.

They'll teach first and and scholarship, sure, but the actual use for them is that players will fight/defend better against those creatures by studying their anatomy/weak points for X amount of time.

*While scholarship will be the base skill, things like Animal Lore, Appraisal, and First Aid could also be used to enhance specific bonuses at the cost of the general combat bonus.

Animal Lore could teach someone about a creature's mannerisms, enhancing someone's ability to ambush the creature.

Appraisal can give a better understanding of either the creature's offensive and defensive ways, increasing the general bonus to lean toward either offense or defense, depending on how the chart is studied.

First Aid could teach about weak points, giving you a higher chance to cause physical damage. Better crits/bleeders/etc.
