Play in Plat so with the lower amount of people lumberjacking and getting the real nice stuff was wondering. I made a bunch of mistwood bows for people few weeks back. Today found goldwood. With both being 95 affinity for longbows, does the stiffness, hardness, physical resistance, and durability differences produce much difference in same bow templates?
Didn't want to waste it if just going to turn out the same. Or are the differences prob buried in the ranges of the stats so wouldn't be able to appraise it?

AFAIK the only thing that matters right now for bows damage stats is affinity and density, similar to how melee weapons are based on hardness and density.
Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

The balance and suitedness will turn out the same if both have the same affinity, the biggest differences is the durability and weight.

If density matters in the stats of a bow then it isn't very much. I've appraised a large range of densities in 85 and 95 affinities and I haven't seen any difference in the same template when made with different density woods. For example a bloodwood battle longbow weighs nearly twice as much as a copperwood battle longbow, but the only difference in appraisal is durability and weight. Both have 95 affinity for longbows, but the bloodwood is the most durable of the very rare woods.

The only difference between goldwood and mistwood is that the latter (mistwood) is a GREAT deal lighter. I've made both and they come out the same stat wise. Mistwood is VERY light.
A mistwood short bow is 13 stone. A goldwood is 33 stone. Same enchancements, etc.
I did not compare them directly though. I think comparing each final product is going to be how to tell the difference between inferior and superior wood types that are ultra rare, and exactly the same in the infinities (unless weight and durability is meant to be the only difference).
(Sadly, it should NOT be like this.) I've been pushing for more unique qualities (especially when it comes to enhancing), but not much has from it.
