Is it supposed to take ~20 skill in the craft in order to be able to ANALYZE your work for the next steps? There was a novice that could only get "You try to analyze the katar, but are unable to discern hardly anything about it." While I could get "The katar is ready for polishing and grinding along a grinding wheel. First, TURN the GRINDSTONE several times to speed it up and then PUSH the GRINDSTONE with the katar to grind it down."
It is very unintuitive for new crafters if this is intended, they can't tell what they are supposed to do next during a time period where that bit of information is very important.

I have been noticing lately that almost all new folks I help learn forging get nothing on analyze and that goes for engineering and alchemy too. Now the question is, is that supposed to be happening. It appears to me without a good analyze you end up having to rely on someone else already having done this or a script.
Someone with 16 forging was getting this:
X tries to analyze the katar, but appears dumbfounded.
X says, "It says you try to ana the katar but unable to discern hardly any thing about it."
X says, "Then it says when crafting is complete this will be a type of finished small bladed weapon."
X says, "And there is a round time of 4 seconds."
Now having said that most forging is pretty basic as are the others. You have basic message you get if you need to do something different than the second thing you would do. For instance in weaponsmithing:
1st pound ingot on anvil with hammer.
2nd pound item on anvil with hammer.
So unless you have to add more fuel or use the bellows or turn the item everything from then till you get a different message is
pound item on anvil with hammer.
So you can get through it if you remember that basic point.
But I dont think this is actually working correctly.

The instruction booklets should give a complete breakdown of every step for each of the crafting processes. I'd gladly take suggestions for improving them or filling in missing areas.
Second, every time an event occurs you should automatically be getting a message prompt.
ie.
The fire dies down
The solution is getting cloudy
the item is ready to be pulled apart with pliers
etc...
Are players ignoring them? I personally have never needed to use an analyze when using the systems. Worst-case I scroll up and see what I missed, or just ignore the event and take a small ding to quality (when allowable).

I think the problem is that it's not always very clear from the event messaging what the correct syntax to use is. Remedies is especially difficult to know exactly what to do with what tool, or lack of tool, without already knowing what each message means or using analyze.
The issue is that people who do not have much, or any, experience with the new crafting systems don't have previous knowledge to understand some of the more vague event messages, and also lack the skill to find out what they need to do with analyze. IMO the amount of crafting skill needed to see what to do next with analyze is already so low that it should be lowered to 0. At least for what the syntax is, all the other information can keep the same skill as before.

The only time I ever had to analyze was when I was first figuring out what the message prompts wanted me to do.
That said, the most likely time players would need to figure out what the prompts want is when they're new to the system and have minimal amounts of skill.
Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

I use analyze quite a bit lately, but I've been having trouble with disconnecting, so it's really useful for that because I won't get the prompts for turning or shoveling or something when I am able to reconnect.
It may not be that they are ignoring them, but they don't know what it means. There's so much text and they're still learning syntax.
This would free up a lot of mentor time for when we get called up because of novices not being able to see what the next step is, if it's an easy fix just for that line. If not I understand, as I have no idea how the codes work at all.
