Awesome thanks!

I was able to find some gold/platinum nuggets. I'm new, so I didn't want to smelt them. Is there a market for this nuggest?

Also, are people more interested in ingots or nuggets? I can't for certain make them masterfully yet, so I'm hesitant to mess it up.

I truly appreciate all the responses - you guys rock!

Also also, I'm assuming that different mines have different stones/nuggets/rare metals? Am I correct in this assumption?

Basically. Different mines have different types of room (e.g., sedimentary, metamorphic) which in turn yield different kinds of rocks/metals.

Also, we suspect that certain mines may lean more toward one type of metal over another. For example, a metamorphic room in the Theren mine might be more likely to yield haralun than a metamorphic room in the Aesry mine. (Example made up.)

This is absolutely true. I haven't noticed too much difference in the uncommon metals (gold, platinum, darkstone, etc.), but for the super rares, different mines have different drops.

I've begun noticing this as well. Haven't had much luck up north so far. Have put a few (okay a lot) of mining hours under my belt now.

Thanks
