Greetings Ecoles.
>That's 2 starters our for the next game. Sucks to be france.
No, it doesn't, we won't have any more game with our last score! laughs (0-0 with Uruguay)
This will save some money to the French taxpayers if the team makes it back sooner, I like it!

Actually.....
France currently has 1 point right now. Along with Uruguay. I'll post a quick table:
Senegal - 4 points - 1 win, 1 tie
Denmark - 4 points - 1 win, 1 tie
France - 1 point - 1 tie, 1 loss
Uruguay - 1 point - 1 tie, 1 loss
As points are awared by FIFA as 3 points per win, 1 point per tie and 0 points for a loss.
One is then able to see that if either Senegal or Denmark looses the next game, a 3 or 4 way tie will be present, depending on who wins.
Now, on a tie, FIFA regulations say that a goal deficit will be the tie breaker. Now you might as what that might be. Say for example, France lost the first game by a score of 1-0, and tied the second game at 0-0, well, France has a -1 goal deficit, while Senegal for example, has a +1 goal deficit, for scoring against France and Denmark. Another table follows:
Denmark - 3 goals scored, 2 goals scored against - +1
Senegal - 2 goals scored, 1 goal scored against - +1
Uruguay - 1 goal scored, 2 goals scored against - -1
France - 0 goal scored, 1 goal scored against - -1
Now, as you can see, if France, in their game against Denmark (without two of their starters) wins by at least 3 goals they will advance.
Of course if either either Senegal or Denmark tie, win or score more goals, this point is moot.
So as you can see, France has a chance to advance, and France does indeed have a game, FIFA regulations state that a team must not forfeit a game in the Wold Cup Finals.

For all scores, half time scores, and match times....
England has to beat Nigeria to advance...And Nigeria hasn't done much yet....So....At least England should be moving on. Dunno who gonna win between Swedes and Argentinians.

Rivaldo's action was just his experience doing the talking for him :). It's the same thing when you see people like Karl Malone or Michael Jordan flop, let the ball fly out of their hands, scream at the right tie to get the attention of the referee, it's all in the same lines. What you gotta pay attention to is the turkish player pegging the ball towards Rivaldo, who was only 10 feet away from him.
It would've been a card nonetheless, granted, it would probably be a yellow, but don't try to criticize a two time golden cleats player (that's the best Soccer player in the world for those that don't know), those tend to have the experience to have their way. And lets not forget that if the camera wasn't pointing at Rivaldo when it happened, everyone would've believed him.

Well , Soccer unlike american football where the referee can check videos and such has a ..hmm...tricky side to it. If you're smart and you can act that your eyes bugged out to get the other player a yellow , go for it, he could have gotten the yellow for himself for faking it. Anyway when you kick the ball at someone like that you'll get a yellow card anyway, ,he just made it the Brazilian way. And dang it was funny.

Why do you keep saying England only have 1 scorer in David Owen, no cancel that, just keep thinking that way, then you won't notice Vassel, Heskey, Scholes, Sheringham or Beckham slip a ball past you.
As for:-
<GO ENGLAND! BYE BYE ARGENTINA HAVE A SAFE FLIGHT HOME
SEE YOU IN THE NEXT ROUND DENMARK>
Wouldn't get too optimistic at the moment. With only 3 goals scored, and the only real threat being Owen, England is a long way from advancing past Denmark.
That was a statement of fact not optimism, Argentina are out and we do play Denmark in the next round on Saturday, granted there may have been a little gloating at Argentina being out, but we English do have fair reason to gloat at the ''Argies''
