Can we please get the auto-paths (notably Fraethis in Haven) to respond to these injuries? There is no herb to heal internal eye injuries, and the fact that some (or all?) auto-paths ignore the injuries is extremely frustrating. Unfortunately, empaths are not always around. Please, can we get a patch, here?
Thanks,

Most do, if not all but him. He doesn't because he's blind.

This thread's pretty old but I had a complaint that was related.
In the black cloak you see a plovik leaf, some sufil sap, a yelith root, a yelith root, a yelith root, a yelith root, a yelith root, a yelith root, a yelith root, a plovik leaf, a gold orlog, a gold key, a green gem pouch, a riolur leaf, a riolur leaf, a riolur leaf, a plovik leaf, a riolur leaf, a plovik leaf, a plovik leaf, a riolur leaf, some hulnik grass, some georin grass, some georin grass, some georin grass, some dried georin grass, some dried georin grass, some hulnik grass, some hulnik grass, some hulnik grass, some hulnik grass, some eghmok potion, a vial of ithor potion, an ithor potion, a nemoih root, a nemoih root, a nemoih root, a nemoih root, some sufil sap, a junliar stem, a junliar stem, a junliar stem, a junliar stem, some hisan salve, some hisan salve, some hisan salve, some hisan salve, some nilos salve, some nilos salve, some nilos salve, some eghmok moss, some blocil berries, some blocil berries, some blocil berries, some sufil sap, a jadice flower, a jadice flower, a jadice flower, a cebi root, a cebi root, a cebi root, a cebi root, a cebi root, a cebi root, a cebi root, a cebi root, some hisan salve, some hisan salve, some hisan salve, a cebi root, a plovik leaf and a cebi root.
Is this really necessary? I mean, for me it is, cause I'm in combat constantly and don't like relying on Empaths. Or dying. But that's a lot of inventory spaces, and game memory, on stupid repetition. I still have to pull up my handy chart out to see which frigging herb I need for internal head injuries or whatever. it's pointlessly over-done, like Empath spells before the merger.
Can't we do like...
cebi - external wounds
hisan - internal wounds
jadice - helps staunch bleeders for a time
plovik - prevents infection
lavender - restores favor with the Gods that have revoked your magic

>I mean, for me it is, cause I'm in combat constantly and don't like relying on Empaths.
Totally with you on this. For me the options are either herbs or a mule and I hate using mules.
>I still have to pull up my handy chart out to see which frigging herb I need for internal head injuries or whatever.
I gave up and wrote a Genie script to do it for me. ISHARON extended it and also got some help to automatically track what herbs you need. The fact that it needs some of the most complex regular expressions I've ever written and has a huge section for choosing herbs based on wound type with multiple fall-backs pretty much says it all.
I also appreciate the complexity of the system, but wish it was more along the lines where we had the option for a set of basic herbs that heal everything like you suggested and more specific herbs that are far more potent at healing the specific area they affect. Basically take all the specific area herbs and make them as good as the first level of solutions/salves/potions currently is, make the generic herbs about the same as herbs are, and improve the capability of alchemy so we don't need to go to empaths.

I'm betting alchemy will address most of the concerns....you may be buying a potion or something from a PC, but my guess is that their will be potions that do a lot more than what single herbs do now.
That's just an assumption mind you.

>>combine cebi root with cebi root?
What is the actual syntax for this? I've tried:
>combine my cebi root with my cebi root
You must be holding both substances to combine them.
>combine my cebi root with my other cebi root
You must be holding both substances to combine them.
>combine my other cebi root with my cebi root
You must be holding both substances to combine them.
Yes, I am holding on in my right hand and one in my left hand. I've closed the pack the rest of the roots are in so they are the only two that fit the "my cebi root" descriptor.

I love forgetting how much I have of a herb and discovering my herb pouch weighs 300 stone. Even better that herbs from different sources don't always combine and some will dry and some won't.
It is all still better than trying to find an empath when/where I play or sitting in town for 30 minutes with an auto-puff ruining my wilderness bonus.

I have noticed though that some roots and potions will not combine with each other. Usually if one is bought at a store and the other found or made. Luckily it doesn't happen very often, but it still makes for a huge bag of herbs.
You rummage through a leather thigh bag heavily-beaded in cambrinth with the image of a proud wren and see some hisan salve, some georin salve, a nemoih potion, some aevaes solution, some aevaes solution, some muljin sap, some sufil paste, some eghmok potion, a nuloe stem, some ithor potion, some ojhenik potion, some jadice pollen, some qun pollen, a riolur leaf, some hulij elixir, some lujeakave elixir, some hulnik grass, some georin salve, some georin salve, some nilos salve, a yelith potion, some eghmok potion, some eghmok potion, an ithor potion, and some nilos salve.
Georin won't combine, nor will my eghmok potions.

I didn't even know that you could combine herbs of the same type. Thanks!
You do have to be a bit careful. I combined so much hisan salve (88 parts) that it would no longer fit in my herb pouch, and it seems that you can't separate herbs once combined. (I tried the same syntax as gweth stones.)

Yep, BREAK. Also, check POUR HELP if you're dealing with liquids. Even then it's persnickety and more often than not you end up accidentally pouring stuff on the ground before you get the hang of it.
When you start doing alchemy, going over 15 count can sometimes get a little buggy. With some objects when you get over 50 weird things happen and it just becomes difficult to work with. I remember having a heck of a time crushing a dracon crystal when it was over 50, and then just breaking it into useable chunks took some weird work-around - my exploits are buried on the forums somewhere. So I just try to keep most stuff under 15 or 20 count.
Also, I don't ever pick up the critter-dropped herbs. They don't combine well with foraged herbs, which I'm guessing is what some of you are running into. And I only use storebought herbs for stuff like hisan salve that we as players can't make. If you have more stealing than foraging, I can see going that route and storebought is usually nicer with foraged than critter-drops. But can still be buggy.

Personally I like to carry around herbs at 90+ parts -- I use them a lot, and it saves me from having to restock too often. I keep them in a haversack rather than a pouch. Just be careful of their weight; if your strength is lowish, start with a smaller bunch. And, as CLEARLEAF said, avoid the critter herbs and go with just foraged or just shopped.
Also, I once made a gigantic batch of lujeakave elixir all at once (90+ parts), with the help of a cauldron and a friend with high mech to crush the crystals. So it's not impossible.
Finally, I too made a script for dealing with eating the correct herbs (for YASSE). Unfortunately the language is so poor I had to write it inefficiently, so it takes a couple of seconds to work. But it's very handy. I'll probably eventually post it on Elanthipedia if anyone is ever interested. I still consider it "in beta" since I'm not sure I have all the wound levels.
