Not that I don't believe the people that talk to me... but I had one tell me one thing and another tell me something different. Can someone tell me where this set is from? Thanks.

>a night black traveler's pack embroidered with a heron in a marsh
>some night black trousers
>some night black boots with silver heron-shaped buckles
>an elongated silver flask shaped like a sleeping heron
>a night black silk-lined cloak embroidered with a sleek white heron
>a finely tailored shirt with silver heron buttons

Alright, I have finally come up with my final design appearance ever because I'm sick of changing outfits. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on items IG that resemble the items displayed in the picture I've drawn below, or how I can go about tracking them down.

The picture is located at:
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h307/ss1shadow/leiultimatedarkrealsmall.jpg

I already have...
the mask
the mattock(Though I don't think it's possible to tie weapon straps to mattocks. I wish...)
pants and a cloak possibly(I think they might go with the picture, but perhaps I'm getting the wrong image in my head of the IG items I have. Like I'm not sure what mammoth fighting pants are supposed to look like in RL.)
both belts possibly(Though maybe I can do better? You tell me!)
and possibly the boots(I think I might have something similar in my vault somewhere, but I need to run to Crossings to check.)

I didn't know if something like that sleeveless halfshirt in the picture exists IG, or if there is leather arm wrap armor like that that exists. I know I can get a forged light chain lorica(covers chest, back and abdomen as displayed in the picture). Also, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my hands so those are left out of the picture.

Here is my current description.

You are wearing a scarred and hardened mask with two narrow eye slits, a rugged teamster's cloak with braided leather roping fringed along the sides, a tooled leather weapons harness, a rough leather haversack with a carved bone clasp, a scrimshaw banded backtube, a padded dark leather breastplate, some chain vambraces, a small pearl-studded ironwood shield with a leather-wrapped handle, some heavily fastened fingerless gloves with silvered steel reinforcements, a braided platinum ring, a carved dragon-engraved pick, a suede weapons belt with carved sana'ati panels, a scarred leather craftsman's belt, a weathered pouch with patches of lightly scorched leather, some mammoth leather fighting pants pierced with fossilized ivory studs, a bone-beaded suede thigh sheath and a pair of hardened-leather boots with silvered knee guards.

As you can see, a few of the items I have do not match what is displayed in the picture, but that will hopefully change as I obtain more of the items I'm looking for and discard the unnecessary ones.

Any help, suggestions, or advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Like, I'd owe you my life. Hahaha.

can say quite confidently that no, that half shirt does not exist anywhere in DR Prime, TF or plat, possibly but dont know for sure.

Chances would be almost nonexistant that you could even get one altered like that, I would guess it would be considered 'not doable' due to Primes standards. But you can always try if you choose too, way I look at it is all they will do is no & tell me to change it, like they are doing with my friends armor (sigh)

What tha, what's wrong with a half shirt, especially if it doesn't have "seductive" in the description like a million other items do?

All I can say is.. & please remember this is only my conjecter & opinion.. is that they will refuse it due how it could be misused as its not very much in keeping with DRs theme. Sort of like a chain mail bikini 8-)

I know things have been done in the past in Prime that arent in keeping either, the arcane, the racial, the guilded stuff, that flew 5 yrs ago will not fly today. Believe me, as someone whos done a lot of alteration scrolls & a few face to face sessions, I've been turned down on a lot of stuff, more than I care to recount.

As you did, its good to ask, hopefully you'll get a red name response, I dont know if non-premies can read Prem 9, it gives quite a few good things to keep in mind. If you cant I might be able to email it to you rather than waste space on here.

Designed looked good, good ideas & nice theme. Good luck

Diane
And yeah, I think I misspelled the way I want conjecter up there but I'm being lazy & dont feel like looking it up.

If they won't let you call it a half-shirt, find a way to describe it so they will accept it. It may not fit in the tap, but you could definitely do it in the look description. I'd give you an example of what I mean, but I struggle with creativity on clothing.

Speaking of what's allowed and what's not.. I recently was disappointed by an alterer who refused to call my bastard sword a hand-and-a-half sword. It's the same thing and I think the latter sounds better, but I was refused. Reason: "There are no hand-and-a-half swords in game."

You could probably get away with a half shirt if it was a part of another item, like the lorica (ie a chain lorica partially covered by a loose grey half shirt, or something like that).

As for leather arm wraps, something you could use until you find something better are the leather armor armbands from Wolf Clan. You can choose leather as a material, plus they have a couple colors you could choose from that match the picture: soft tan, beige, smoke grey, & cream

The cloak in the picture reminds me of this one, which I think was a festival item: a miserably patched grey cloak that looks like a soft breeze will unravel it into a few decaying threads. The teamster's cloak I envision as the total opposite end of the spectrum - long, heavy, protective, and it has a dangling fringe.

Overall, your description in DR is too long and busy for me to get the affect of the picture.

The mask definitely works, and even though the gloves aren't in the picture, the ones you have go well with the idea. The belts fit in too.

But the mammoth leather pants give me the mental image of something that is thick and heavy, rather than loose and responsive like the ones in the picture. Plus the mammoth leather pants have ornamental studs on them, which I think would stand out.

Here are my suggestions, but there are plenty more store-bought things that would work as well:
some loose linen trousers (Aesry fashionable shop)
some burgundy silk breeches (Leth Ongadine's Garb & Gear)
some maroon linen trousers (Crossing haberdashery)
Or just grab some pants from wolf clan and dye them

If those are too boring, I know there were some festival pantaloons and things along those lines.

In any case, best of luck!

Yes fighting pants to me would seem to be thick oiled leather. What you have in your picture is more like some breeches or trousers which are wide down the leg which you seem to have tucked into the boots. To more so match your picture you can get an "adrianne" scarf that can be "worn around the lower face coving the mouth and nose". Yes the IG description is that descriptive which I love with my hunter green scarf, although Ive seen grey and red before should be no problem to find onefrom a trader.

For the cloak, I do remember seeing "a three quarters length cloak" or something along those lines somewhere. The gloves you have a sweet and seem fitting in description.

The shirt is something you would have to speak to an alterer about. Im shure It would be fairly easy to have
"a charcoal grey sleeveless shirt with blah blah blah on it"
look shirt
As if having no sleeves wasnt enough, someone seems to have ripped the lower half of this shirt clean off. blah blah blah has been crudely embroidered across the chest just above the fraying reamins of the bottom.

Hmm, I think I'm going to have to try find one of those half-length or three-fourth length cloaks.

So far I have...

You are wearing a scarred and hardened mask with two narrow eye slits, <cloak>, (a weapon halter), a scrimshaw banded backtube, (a short black leather vest with criss-cross lacing up the front), (a flat black chain lorica), (some beige leather armbands), <shield>, some mail gloves, a braided platinum ring, a carved dragon-engraved pick, a suede weapons belt with carved sana'ati panels, a scarred leather craftsman's belt, (a hip pouch), (some light tan legwraps), (some burgundy silk breeches), a bone-beaded suede thigh sheath and (some heavy leather hiking boots with engraved steel buckles).

a weapon halter- Steelclaw Clan.Struan's Weapons and Armor
a flat black chain lorica- Forged/Knife Clan.Metal Dyer
a short black leather vest with criss-cross lacing up the front- Prescious
some beige leather armbands- Wolf Clan.Brigetta's Tanned Goods
a hip pouch- Crossings.Berolt's Dry Goods
some light tan legwraps- Riverhaven.Seli's Armory/Leth Deriel.Reena's Rainbow
some burgundy silk breeches- Leth Deriel.Ongadine's Garb and Gear
some heavy leather hiking boots with engraved steel buckles- Vault

Still in the works on getting all the items in parenthesis, but at least I know where to get 'em!
