Hi. I'm a human paladin, and had a question regarding my stats. I know the combat ones are way low, but I was trying to train up my int and wisdom so I could earn more ranks quicker. Should I keep up this track? What ratio should my Int/Wis(maybe disc?) be? Should I switch over to the other stats now? Advice from anyone appreciated.
Strength : 14 Reflex : 10
Agility : 11 Charisma : 10
Discipline : 11 Wisdom : 15
Intelligence : 17 Stamina : 16

Your strength and stamina look good, and the wisdom and intelligence will last you quite a while. If I were you, I would work in reflex, agility, and discipline next.
Keep in mind that you know your goals far better than I do- but without the reflex and agility, the critters will chew on you and you won't be able to touch them.

Thank you for the response. Is there any kind of ratio I should be aiming for amongst the stats? I played LONG LONG LONG ago, and have forgotten just about everything. I remember always being told have stamina 1 to 2 points above strength, so carrying my max weight wouldn't wear me out so bad.. Not sure if there are any other ratios I should try and keep to though. Any advice? I understand the rations may change, or go completely out the window at later circles, but just for gettin started I'd appreciate the advice.

Having stamina over your strength is still a good idea, for the very reason that you named. But you'll find that a lot of what you used to know has changed or no longer applies. Also, you'll find that charisma has considerably more use than it did back when Dragonrealms was new and dinosaurs ruled the earth. ;)
I'll let someone else show you the numbers. You'll probably want to keep reflex and agility fairly close together, and for purposes of learning and various spell and stat contests you don't want to neglect discipline- especially as a paladin.
Oh yes, depending on how long ago you played, you'll find it's possible to train more than one kind of armor at one time now. That makes for a lot of free TDPs, and might be useful if you decide to try your hand at forging.
Teaching itself, too, has undergone some huge changes. For instance, you don't have to hold a weapon to teach it now. Nor do you have to have more ranks in a subject than your student- which will put an end to 'teaching probes'.
Welcome back!

First I got everything to 15, which is relatively easy to do starting out.
I'm in the process of getting everything to 20; I started with physicals then moved to wis/int and will move on again to disc/char after those hit 20.
After that... we'll see what happens!
This has worked pretty well for me so far.
D: So does your wife have any special powers?
M: Yes! Once a month, she becomes eeevil... and I cannot defeat her!

Going with your intell\wis push that is what I did, except I got all stats evenly to 20 first, then I pushed both wis/intell to 30 each and had no problems.

No, this false. Strength and stamina both allow you to carry more without burden, and stamina drain during combat is based on the weight of the weapon you use.
More generally speaking, ratios are bad advice.
Agility and strength both reduce roundtime on weapons now.
Early ranks (especially under 100 ranks) are much easier now. For this reason, I'd focus more on strength/stamina/agility/reflex as a low level paladin. Unless you want the secondary benefits from intel/wisdom (better halt, improved perception).

I found I needed to have stamina above strength because of weapon roundtime. As my strength grew, my weapon roundtime went down. This made me train more stamina than strength due to just getting tired. 2 or 3 points of stamina above strength is where I ended up.
This was for an Elothean Moon Mage. Your experience may not match mine.

My wife: How do you win Dragon Realms?
Me: It's not a game you win or lose. It's just fun to play.
My wife: It's stupid to play a game that you can't win.

It really depends on the weapon. For instance, snap shooting short bow can really tire you out at low stamina, no matter how low your strength is. LT is another case where you need high stamina for relatively low strength. However, once you achieve minimum RT for a weapon, you can continue to raise strength without worrying about stamina.
