Are we going to get one of each "type" of spell in the analogous book right out the gate, similar to how we auto-learn bolt and ease once joining a magic using guild?
Just wondering about this because, if we only get what we pick for our first circle spell slot, then we're going to need something to learn all the others.

I didn't think there was, but now I'm wondering how players can cover all their magic requirement bases early on. Once you hit a certain point, it might be hard not to have a spell of each type, but how about early on in the game?
Just taking Necromancers, for example... they require 2 ranks of TM for the first ten circles. Meanwhile, it takes 4 slots to get ACS (1 for HP, 1 for IVM, 2 for ACS) and 5 slots to get SV (1 for HP, 2 for QE, 2 for SV). So they won't even be able to have a TM until at least 4th circle, and that's if they're explicitly trying to get it. I didn't count QE since the TM training on that never really came off as "this is a tool you could use to seriously train TM", although that could be changing in 3.0

Partly a matter of finesseing the spell trees. Partly a matter of taking another look at reqs and making sure the early levels are sane.
