<<The Hitler channel had a four hour special on barbarians the other day. A common theme for all barbs was their native lands were of a very brutal climate. Thus the tribes had higher immunity to sickness and disease. Therefore I think barbs should have an increased resistance to contracting any type of disease and illness in DR.>>

Ever play any type of sport? Sometimes your body cannot continue to push forward, but your mind is committed to succeeding. Usually, this pre-meditated thought is conceived of before the race/game/event starts.

Idea

The Barbarian is placed in a pre-tense situation in which he "readies" himself for what he is prepared to face. While he is being affected by the cold, fire, or lightning the Barbarian would feel nothing. The mind controls how intense your ability to focus on the resistance of the elements truly is.

* This ability would benefit against those creatures that do manage to cast spells of the elements, in that the Barbarian would be able to have an opportunity to shrug away a good portion of the effects.

* In case the World Team has designed any future rooms with elemental damage (the room can be extremely cold, extremely hot, or there can be certain type of traps involved when you touch something in a certain room(s) ) - the Barbarian would be able to become more resistant if they are expect it.

Just some random quote I thought was interesting.

"A Barbarians lust for gold is immense, their love of drink boundless. Barbarians are without restraint...Although generally they are considered good-looking."

Damn straight.

To expand on this idea, which I think is great, BTW. Add a physical aspect to it as well, which would affect two things. The barbarian feels less of the pain, so vitality loss is reduced (although actual wounds taken are not) and it would help keep the barbarian from being stunned. And if I read it right, the barbarian would choose one out of the three/four/whatever to meditate on, correct?
