Am I missing something? I must be confused. Not all of my communication is directed at any particular person? I apologize if it seems like I was picking anyone out.
The first post often sets the tone for a discussion and I want to see progressive ideas. Not "this is just bad" with no solutions.
If BMR and IF hits were not a problem I wouldn't be having to sort bug reports and field questions about it virtually every time I talk to a Barbarian.
So something needs to change. We took the first step and it's a temporary measure. It is definitely not a permanent solution.

Ssra, the IF hits were definitely an issue. Especially with records of folks tanking their IF to extreme points.
I was OK with IF hits if their magic overwhelmed me. I wasn't OK with having my IF hit the crapper for hours on end because Tropicalo could bottom it out using EaS.

<<The only problem I have with the removal of IF hits permanently is that barbs will be having their friends buff them magically before/during combat. This just seems... wrong to me for a guild so against the use of magic.>>
I think this sums up my point perfectly. If there are other ways to do the same, there are other ways. But, i personally like being able to tell when someone overwelms my fire, and jump on em for bein' a finger waggler and destroying my fire. Gives us a reason to be antisocial and get in fights.

You throw your juggling pins precisely at Captain Tevel's chest, hitting it with a decent strike that explodes the chest in a shower of blood and splintered ribs.
[Roundtime 1 sec.]
The Captain Tevel is already very dead.
