I'm interested to see what other bards would do in an opponent such as Adan'f.

I was down there and did ok against warriors using abandon, and used GJ against the shadow mages casting, but unfortunately I couldn't put up both at the same time <both cyclic>, so.... how does one handle them with both in the room? Because as soon as I took down GJ, one would get through.

also, how to train sorcery more effectively? I have 2 spell scrolls learned <instinct- ranger/ and PV - necro>. both I manage to cast with no backfires <I have the sorcery tech, and 108 sorcery>, but I barely move it off 2/34.

If you're going to be fighting something that uses deadly magic (which is most TM-wielding critters I've come across in 3.0), you have a couple options.

1) Use GJ, and kill with weapons and your straight TM spells (BOS and STRA). You will have to pump the mana of these spells to get through your own GJ. If you're having trouble killing this way, don't forget you can debilitate first. Try DMRS.

2) Constantly throw up LW. I've tried this and found it annoying because it lasts for such a short time, but you could try it. Then you could use whatever other cyclic you like.

Your other main TM defense is going to be something like Veil of Ice, if you have a WM friend.
