>recall my jug
You gaze down at your whiskey jug, trying to remember what you have learned about it through your travels ...

While there can be little doubt the jug once held some form of strong liquor, it is unfortunately empty now. More's the pity.
[Roundtime: 8 seconds.]

Yes, definitely a shame however! It got me to thinking. It's porcelain! Could it be we have an instrument that won't be ruined because its raining? Let's test!

<Eow goes and jumps in the pond with her jug out.>

>app my jug
The whiskey jug appears to be a wind instrument.
You are certain that the whiskey jug is crafted from clay or porcelain.
You are certain that the whiskey jug is of good quality.
You are certain that the whiskey jug is noticably drenched and dripping.
You wonder if the whiskey jug might weigh a few stones.
You are certain that the whiskey jug is worth exactly 100 lirums.
Roundtime: 8 seconds.

Time passes while I let the jug dry without help from me.....boring huh?

You are certain that the whiskey jug is of good quality.
You are certain that the whiskey jug has accumulated traces of internal residue.

Drizten begins to carefully examine a great helm.
>ass my jug

Cradling the whiskey jug in your hands, you carefully look it over from top to bottom, assessing what damage has been done to it. After a few moments, you realize that ...
You are certain that the whiskey jug is crafted from clay or porcelain.

What was the time span between those messages? Normally it takes upwards of a few dozen minutes for mine to get damaged, having stayed damp all the while.

10 minutes, I even played it in the rain and just stowed it in my bag without getting the water off first. I mean, it makes sense! A whiskey jug held liquid to start with!

Now if only they made spoons water proof. I mean, they are used to stir liquids in some situations.

Yea, but no matter what, metal will rust. Though, pewter wouldn't but how many spoons that are used to make music are made with pewter? Course, maybe pewter does rust in time and I just don't know it. Not to mention, a lot of things only become rustible after they go through the process to become something other than a hunk of oar in the earth. Yea, I would love a percussion instrument that could stand the rain since so many enchantes for doing things outside use percussions. So, what's a percussion instrument that is made out of pottery?

An Udu. It's a Nigerian percussion instrument made entirely out of clay. Traditionally it was a clay water jug with another hole in the side, played by women for ceremonial music. So they would be completely waterproof. They sound really cool, too.

Oh, I like! Any chance of such an instrument finding its way into DR, Dart?

There are some other glass/clay/porcelain things that may be possible...time will tell.

No, don't tell me, the seraphim, the glass harp, the cristal baschet, the verillon. I can see it
>tune my seraphim sharp
>But you don't have any water!
>get water
You get some water.
>tune my seraphim sharp
With an expert's ease, you attempt to pour a small amount of water into your seraphim. After a moment, you are certain that it is in perfect tune.
