Thanks Ryeka, I know they are pretty basic but I want to test them qualitatively to be sure.
I was very surprised to see how things turned out. Many of the instruments I thought were of a certain difficulty turned out to be different than I expected.
I'm not sure if Dart tweaked some of the instruments to group them together or if it's just my skills that are blurring some of the lines.
All of these were rated with 800 ranks in each instrument group, 1015 in Music Theory and 55 Agility. (And my next project is to determine if Agility actually affects instrument playing).
If anyone can determine that these groups of instrument are in fact of different difficulties, I'd be interested to know! I'm going to be putting all this information (plus butt loads more) on Elanthipedia for all to share, tweak and correct as necessary.

I know the txistu was a starter wind instrument that I have used in the past. If I get the chance, I will compare it to a mirliton to confirm, but I am 99% sure it is the same.

Thanks for the listings, Gent. All of the missing ones you have (guti'adar, zills and txistu) are sold by the Haven peddler to newbs, so I'm guessing they're at the same difficulty level as the other starting instruments. I think he changes to the more advanced stock when you're around 20th circle no matter what your guild is.
From what I understand the stamping stick and whiskey jug are weatherproof onehanded starting instruments. Anyone know any weatherproof onehanded starter strings (or maybe just one)? Oh, and onehanded/weatherproof might be something to add to the list if you put it up on Elanthipedia.

Plan on putting information about weather resistance and handedness in there too!
It should be a super comprehensive listing of all the instruments, their difficulty, stats and where to buy them with links to shops and maps and a kitchen sink.
Anymore feedback is appreciated. If someone could test the lower difficulty groups of instruments to see if they can get differences, I'd love it!

Don't forget whether the shopkeeper tends to have sharper eyes and gives discounts for flirting.
Didn't one of the shops at the Wren Fest have a kitchen sink? The one with all the nifty props?

zills are harder than guiro
When I started my bard, I tried out the zills and couldn't use'em. Then I found the guiro and life was good.
