I am posting the brief log of what happened today at clerics because it has come to my attention that the moonie the great thinker is telling all that he never cast on me and I attacked him for no reason. Amala is not the most likable cleric in the realms, she as you can see from the log can be an arse.. hehehe I did not cut that part out because it will explain why he ATTACKED ME ( for not raising his friend). But I dont think anyone in the realms can say I have ever attacked them without reason.

Any who, So I got killed.. not crying about it.. what I am crying about is the fact he will not let it rest. OMG .. move on.You killed me twice I killed you once. You are ahead. Move on. I am not your personal entertainment. Amala is not scared of death actually I welcomed the little fight so I see where I need to work my skills on ( damn stats) But crazy stalkers that will not let it rest belong on TF. Move on. Thx.

Why? You helped him break policy and get away with it. You're like a griefer pin-up now. Miss March, perhaps.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't see where Amala broke policy or helped Vaeyrin break policy. He cast on her. The spell didn't do any good and Amala cast back. If someone casts on you whether it's a beneficial, negative or busted spell it's consent:

From News 5 25

--- PREPPING, GESTURING ---

* We're arguing or otherwise involved in a negative discourse. Suddenly, you start prepping a spell. Is that consent?

YES -- I may have no idea if you're prepping an offensive spell or not, but at the same time, I should not have to wait for you to actually Ice Patch me before I defend myself. If you're prepping in the midst of a confrontation, I have the right to assume it's with malice intended and take action. If you were actually prepping Ethereal Shield, well, them's the breaks.

Other guilds have the right to tell clerics what to do, when to do, and how to do it or be prepared for the consequences.

Perhaps I will go to the Moon Mage guild and dmeand a list of CJ's that I need. If the moon mage does not comply I will insult them and threaten bodily harm.

Why not go post this in the moon mage folder and tell them THE CLERICS ARE COMING FOR YOU AND YOU BETTER BE READY TO THROW DOWN!

anyone else laugh over the fact that his first gesture was him gesturing at not casting, thus giving her the impression he backfired?

Not laughting, per se, but I noticed it. Personally I found it a childish taunt, but maybe I'm getting too old for the stupid games the griefers like to play.

Ok so I did miss something but I still hold to my original thoughts. The moonie led Amala to think he was casting on her. Half dozen of one and six of the other. He still made a gesture that could be construed as threatening.

If it happened to me I would have thought he backfired, then done exactly as she did.

It never ceases to amaze me people will still stroll in demanding raises or gwething for a "Raising Cleric". I tell people that gweth for a Cleric that if I come to the guild and find there's a Cleric there regardless if they can raise or not then I won't help the corpse.

That's the prettiest log I've ever seen! <beams!!>

<<As you begin to focus on preparing the Huldah's Pall spell>>

ack! Is that war ya got the idea fer Huldah's Pal? I think I want you too...

So the "I Must Know These Girls" goes as follows: Dulcinia, Schvartz, You, and like 50 others.

<<Why? You helped him break policy and get away with it.>>

Pile on J-Lo!!!

Players decide whether or not they want to deal with conflicts like this in game or run screaming to game management, hiding behind them and point at the offender and crying, "He did this to me! She did that to me!" I respect amala for taking a chance to respond with force. Turns out she were victorious in that instance.

Its only breaking game policy if yer a cry baby.

Ok so let me get this right (me being ill informed on the gesture verb), he prepped the spell and then used the gesture verb to appear as if he cast so it could possibly be claimed there was no cast but prepping still makes it a violation of policy?

There's no issue. Management would side with amala period. Prep than gesture at her? She doesn't have to look at his screen to have consent. That looks liek a backfire...no issue.

Prepping the spell is an offensive action. Much like if I were to pull out a gun and load it, but not aim it at you or fire it. He just tried to use the gesture verb to say 'I didn't start it'.

You and I argue, you prep something, then gesture at me, ima tear yer limbs off one by one. It doesn't look like a gesture.

Open your mind, and pretend that you are smart. Now follow the bouncing ball through this simple calculation of congnitive perception:

gesture = gesture.

argument + prep + gesture AT someone = perceived attack

also

you contributing to the boards = a public demonstration of what can happen when women smoke during pregnancy.

Yeah yeah yeah, Big deal. What is the problem? If this is just another version of the I KNOW MORE ABOUT CONSENT POLICY THAN YOU ON THE DR BOARDS urinary olympics, then fine -- just say so.

I didn't notice in either thread where either participant said anything about policy or consent. Looks like a good fight to me, except the part where one is done, and the other may or not be.

>you contributing to the boards = a public demonstration of what can happen when women smoke during pregnancy.

PS: No one has attacked me back for gesturing at them yet, I'm 0-5. :( WHERE ARE ALL THE STUPID PPL?

gesture is my favorite verb ever!

i'm going to gesture everyone! its going to be epic.

Beware world!

Funny story, at least I thought so, when I first started playing, having even less of a clue as to how to play, than I currently do. I saw someone (empath) doing a lot of gestureing. So I thought it was the trendy thing to do. I went around gestureing. I was thinking it was like the one figure salute and the game was really awsome. no one killed me, much to my dismay now. I think that's why I stuck around and got hooked.

Verbal gestures at you.

Okay the was funny. Ima steal that from you.

Erm...First of all, gesturing at 5th circlers isn't gonna do the trick. Gesture at Galren or someone with balls.

Secondly, and I knew you wouldn't be able to wrap your arms around this, but, are you using this formula?: argument + prep + gesture AT someone = perceived attack.

Try that with some big folks, see what happens.

You went from threatening to hammer me to debt whenever you catch me out of town then suddenly it's wanting to fight me in the pit.

Usually people are like..."get in the pit! We sort this out!" Then is escalates to, "Oh yea? Yer dead on sight man. Ya hear meh? DEAD!" Sometimes it even goes as far as, "Holy crap, where ya live? Im buying a ticket RIGHT NOW and flying over to Zimbabwe to KICK...YOUR...ASS!"

What's it gonna be next? "Next time i catch you in undershard Ima reign on you Ragran!"
