Currently there is only dodge, parry, and circle that I'm aware of that are defensive moves in combat. What about others? And if there aren't any others, why? Would be nice to have a set of defensive moves we could do that wouldn't harm the opponent, but would give us balance, evasion, etc. Kinda like a few martial arts moves, where the person just kinda moves to one side, using the opponents own momentum to make em trip.
Somethin like that.

All of the brawling maneuvers listed under BRAWL HELP can be used (note that this only applies to the maneuvers, not the attacks) without triggering shock. So, shove, bob, weave, grapple, and tackle can be added to your list, with shove and tackle having the aim of getting the opponent to the ground. Stringing the available maneuvers together in an appropriate series can be a tremendously effective way to gain balance and position. Furthermore, bob's defensive modifier is every bit as good for evasion as dodge is. That said, though, I've been hoping for some further development of non-damaging brawling maneuvers ever since the damaging ones were upgraded to their current level of effectiveness.

>> with brawling (or any non-shock inducing combat moves for that matter), do the moves need any OF or can I realistically drop my OF to 0% for all my stances?
If you set your OF to 0%, you'll be failing all your circles, bobs, weaves, and tackles. Well, actually, you might tag a ship's rat or heggerangi frog. But the success of all such combat maneuvers is dependent upon your brawling ranks, which is influenced by your offensive combat %.
